Open Call ・ Onsite Residency Q3-Q4 2027 Deadline: 04 Sep 2026 Country: Germany GlogauAIR is a Berlin-based non-profit artist residency founded in 2006 by Spanish artist Chema Alvargonzalez. The residency welcomes artists from all disciplines, providing a collaborative environment to develop their practice while engaging with Berlin’s vibrant contemporary art scene. We provide: * A private live/work studio in the heart of Kreuzberg, Berlin. * Regular individual curatorial support and technical assistance throughout the residency. * Workshops, professional development activities, studio visits, and guided tours of Berlin’s artistic and cultural institutions. * Opportunities to exhibit your work through the Showcase Window and the final Open Studios event. * Professional promotion through a printed and digital catalogue, your artist profile on the GlogauAIR website, social media, and press materials. * A dynamic international community of resident artists, alumni, curators, and art professionals. Duration of residency The residency is offered in 3-month terms. Artists may apply for a single 3-month residency or combine two consecutive terms for a total duration of 6 months. Available terms: ★ January – March 2027 (few spots remaining) ★ July – September 2027 ★ October – December 2027 Accommodation Artists are accommodated in private live/work studios within the residency building. Residents have their own studio while sharing fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, and other common areas with fellow international artists. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance The residency is open to artists of all disciplines, including visual arts, installation, performance, photography, video, sound, digital media, interdisciplinary, and experimental practices. Residents receive ongoing curatorial and technical support throughout the program, access to basic workshop equipment, woodworking tools, and multimedia equipment (including projectors and screens), as well as a private studio and shared facilities. The program also offers professional development through workshops, studio visits, exhibition opportunities, and networking with fellow international artists and art professionals.Studio / Workspace Each resident is provided with a private live/work studio. The studios are equipped with essential furniture for living and working, while shared facilities include fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, a garden, and a project space (when available). Residents also have access to basic workshop tools and multimedia equipment, including projectors and screens.Fees and support * Accommodation: €750/month (€950/month for artistic duos). * Program fee: €1,650 per 3-month term. * Refundable security deposit: €1,000. The program fee includes curatorial and technical support, professional development workshops, studio visits, exhibition opportunities (Showcase Window and Open Studios), promotional support, and access to shared facilities, workshop tools, and multimedia equipment. Expectations towards the artist Residents are expected to participate in the final Open Studios exhibition, presenting work developed during their residency. Participation in this public exhibition is a mandatory part of the residency program.
