Tres Hermanas Self-Directed Residency (February 2027) Deadline: 31 Aug 2026 Country: Mexico Tres Hermanas Artist Residency is open to artists of all stages of their career, and especially those whose practice directly relates to the land, conservation, environmental awareness, community building, and social activism. Our name comes from the indigenous practice of growing corn, beans and squash together. This is a practice in which each plant gives and receives from the others. Like the three sisters, we offer a creative space that encourages diversity and the circular exchange of knowledge and resources. Duration of residency 2 Weeks Accommodation Private accomodation, with an en suite bathroom. Shared kitchen and other spaces. We typically only have one or two artists at a time. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Ideal for small scale and site-specific artists. Writers, musicians, and chefs are also encouraged to apply. We have a small collection of art supplies and basic tools for sculpture. Artsits should plan to bring their own supplies, although we have lots of materials available for upcycle.Studio / Workspace “Luna”, our super adobe dome: a beautiful earthen structure with a desk and large central area for making and experimenting. There is no running water or bathroom inside the dome. Connectivity: Starlink internet is available on the property but can be intermittent — many residents appreciate the slower pace this encourages. If you require reliable high-bandwidth access, please note this in your application.Fees and support 1200 USD, includes transportation to and from the GDL airport, two meals a day, and lodging. Excursions can be arranged at an additional cost. Expectations towards the artist There are no expectations for a talk, exhibtion, or workshop.
