Greek Island Residency with a City Experience. Deadline: 08 Aug 2026 Country: Greece The Lakkos Artist Residency is a base for creatives to come and explore an authentic Greek city and a wonderful Greek island. The residency doesn’t have any program or expectations and is artist run. Its a space to create, research and explore. Mathew Halpin who runs the residency is a practicing visual artist who lives in a village close bye. The residency house hosts three artists at a time. Mathew pops in often to welcome new artists. There are a couple of city beaches within walking distance. The island is well connected with a good bus service to explore the archeological sites. Duration of residency Minimum two weeks Accommodation Upstairs is a two bedroom apartment that shares a kitchen and a bathroom. Downstairs is a private apartment. It has free Wi-Fi, washing machine and air-conditioning. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance All disciplinesStudio / Workspace Upstairs most artists work from their bedrooms as they have desks and good natural light. The kitchen also has good light. The downstairs apartment has the original living room for a studio space. At the moment the residency is not good for people needing a large space to make work.Fees and support Shared upstairs apartment. 225 Euros per week for one. Or 250 Euros per week for a couple. The downstairs apartment is 300 Euros a week. Expectations towards the artist No expectations. The residency has had a reputation for mural painting. This is ongoing.
