Please read the guidelines and apply. ARTWORKS - OPEN theme - Send min. 3 - max. 5 images (from different artworks). Show your best work! - All mediums accepted, but the artworks must be in DIGITAL FORMAT, meaning that paintings, illustrations, mix-media, sculptures and other formats will have to be scanned or photographed and sent to us. - Short films and videos of performances are also accepted, but they must be under 10 min long. - We will print and mount all the selected images in Brazil with the consent of the artists. - Please resize your images to 30 x 40 cm (11.81 x 15.75 inches) or square size 30 x 30 cm (11.81 x 11.81 inches) or provide the link for the videos. - Artists from all nationalities, backgrounds and all styles are welcome to apply. Collaborations are also welcome. Artists will not have to worry about anything.  No crating, no shipping, no customs. We will take care of every detail. Exhibiting your art in a different country could not be easier! PARTICIPATION FEE FREE Submission (send min. 3 - max. 5 images for consideration) Only the artists who get selected will be asked to pay the participation fee in order to cover the expenses (see list below). Should a collector express interest in a piece, the artist will be directly connected to them by the curator, facilitating independent negotiations without any commission from us. We have been applying for funding and hopefully, in the near future, we can lower the participation fee. Until then, we just need to keep the lights on. The files must be cropped 30 x 40 cm (11.81 x 15.75 inches) or square size 30 x 30 cm (11.81 x 11.81 inches) and sent via email when requested. There will be a picture of every individual work on the wall and pictures of people visiting the exhibition. Also, there will be an Artfacts listing. So, there will be plenty of documentation of your participation. Only artists residing in São Paulo, Brazil, are eligible to exhibit their original artworks. They must personally deliver their artwork to the gallery one week prior to the start of the exhibition and sign a consignment agreement. Furthermore, they must arrange for the collection of their artwork at the conclusion of the exhibition. Some future exhibitions will be only for artists that we have already worked with and their prints are in our storage. If the artist prefers not to keep it in our storage, we can destroy it. We tried that in the past and it didn't work out. International postal service from Brazil to overseas is expensive (around £50) and unreliable. It tracks only inside the country. So we are not offering that option anymore. If you would like to have a fine art print of your work, we recommend The Printspace in London. They have good prices, and they ship internationally. The artworks are allocated based on style, orientation, technical specifications, colours, etc. The curator carefully plans the placement of each work to ensure consistency throughout the show. Please note that the decisions are final and not open for discussion. We welcome submissions from artists working across all visual art disciplines. Acts of Address: Gesture, Image and the World We Speak To Exibition Theme: Every artwork addresses someone or something. It may speak directly, remain quiet, offer a sign, hold a trace, make a demand, open a conversation, or create a space for recognition. A work may address a viewer, a loved one, a stranger, a community, a place, an archive, an absent body, a political condition, a private memory, or an imagined future. Acts of Address invites artists to consider how images, objects, gestures and materials communicate. The exhibition looks at the ways artworks reach beyond themselves: through language, silence, touch, movement, symbolism, protest, ritual, correspondence, refusal, care, intimacy, distance, public voice or quiet presence. This theme is deliberately open and welcomes a wide range of approaches. Artists may respond through painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, collage, textiles, digital work, moving image, sound, performance documentation, text-based work, mixed media or interdisciplinary practice. Submissions may be figurative or abstract, personal or collective, direct or ambiguous. At a time when communication is often fragmented, accelerated or mediated through screens, Acts of Address asks what it means to reach another person, to be heard, to remain silent, to translate experience, or to hold space for what cannot be easily said. The exhibition is interested in works that explore how meaning is formed between the artwork and its audience, between private experience and public expression, and between the visible and the unspoken. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly. Where: Thurles, Co. Tipperary, Ireland When: 7-10 October 2026 Deadline for applications: 14/08/2026 at 6pm Tipperary Dance offers a series of bursaries to facilitate your participation in the Tipperary Dance Festival Pro- sessions programme, and to immerse yourself in one of Ireland’s longest-running and most exciting dance festivals. Tipperary Dance Festival Pro-sessions will give you time and space to focus on your artistic development, join artists from around the world, deepen your practice, experiment and exchange ideas collectively. To offer an opportunity that is more focused on artistic practice rather than on training, Tipperary Dance Masterclasses have become Tipperary Dance Pro-sessions. Each one of the seven Pro-sessions is a collective, experiential encounter. An opportunity for dancers to practice together as a group, by experimenting with the idiosyncratic vision and creative tools proposed by one of the festival artists. The participants will also attend the Festival Forum. Unit/08 is a striking warehouse space with an industrial look and feel, located in Peckham’s vibrant cultural quarter. It is flooded with natural light and features whitewashed brick walls, painted columns and an exposed steel truss roof. With over 11,700 sq. ft of open space, it’s the perfect blank canvas for Exhibit Here’s returning Art Now Fair, and with previous clients such as Netflix, Nike, Adidas, Chanel, Sky and the BBC, it is a space not to be missed. Duration of residency 1-3 months Accommodation At Hub Feenix, you can enjoy a comfortable and affordable accommodation with all the facilities you need. The nomads stay in their own lovely wing in about 15m2 private bedrooms and share the kitchen, bathroom, shower facilities, cosy living room and lounge. There´s also a washing machine in the nomad wing.In addition, the building has several inviting and inspiring shared spaces, lounges and a co-working space. Dot Gallery is a brand new gallery opening in the heart of the historic town of Cockermouth in beautiful Cumbria. We are looking for artists to submit work that evokes Texture; this could be in a descriptive way or abstract way; it is entirely up to you. However you'd like to interpret this theme, we would love to see your work. We are looking for work that is 2D in any medium (sorry; no sculpture, audio or video works). Artists from across the UK are very welcome to submit their work (sorry; this opportunity is only for UK based artists). Wall mounted work can be of any size or shape, however, please bear in mind the size and cost of return postage should you be sending your work to us. Work can be framed or unframed. As part of the renovation the lockers have been removed to say farewell to the "high school" feeling of the building. This allows for ample room for the inclusion of commissioned artwork. Bodily depletion and the silencing of knowledge are, in this sense, two effects of the same structure. The exhibition approaches plant-centred practices as ways of knowing through which this structure might be questioned. Here, plants are no longer treated merely as images of nature. They carry forms of knowledge that differ from modern systems of classification, standardisation and extraction—knowledge recognised through sensory experience and situated judgement, and passed on through families, communities, local memories and relations of care. Plants, space and sensory traces converge, inviting visitors to step temporarily outside accelerated time. The exhibition space operates as a metabolic system, bringing different bodies, memories and traditions of care into proximity. In doing so, it seeks to reactivate suppressed modes of perception, allowing embodied knowledge and situated experience to surface and continue circulating. What do our bodies remember? What continues to grow? The exhibition ultimately turns towards a question of repair: after exhaustion and injury, can these obscured forms of knowledge continue to grow? Through shared practices of care, might we begin to reweave the relationships between body, land and community? Who We Are Looking For We welcome completed works across all artistic media and forms. Submitted works may respond to one or more of the following areas: 1. Plant Rhythms and the Body Works exploring plant processes—including growth, dormancy, metabolism, decay and regeneration—in relation to human productivity, bodily exhaustion, recovery and alternative rhythms of life. 2. Plant-Borne Knowledge Works engaging with local, Indigenous, diasporic, minoritised or culturally specific forms of plant knowledge, and considering how such knowledge is preserved, transmitted, marginalised or reactivated. 3. Plants and Practices of Care Works exploring relationships between plants and collective care, healing practices, identity, migration, memory, belonging and community. 4. PigPrints: Assisted and Intensive printmaking residencies in Milan Deadline: 14 Aug 2026 Country: Italy PigPrints artist residency programs offer experienced and less experienced printmakers an opportunity to live and work in Milan for a period of time that can go from a minimum of one week to a maximum of one month. Dates are not predetermined but are nominated by the applying artist. Artists have unlimited 24/7 access to a workshop fully equipped for all intaglio and relief techniques and are accommodated in a private studio/bedroom next to the workshop. OBRAS: Residency in Portugal (Sept 15 – Dec 15, 2026) Deadline: 15 Aug 2026 Country: Portugal OBRAS is an international art residency offering artists and researchers time, space, and solitude. Located on land known as Herdade da Marmeleira near the village of Évoramonte in the Alentejo region of Portugal, OBRAS exists to foster the conditions necessary for deep work. Residencies at OBRAS are self-directed. Residents are given time to work without expectations of finished outcomes. The emphasis is on process rather than results, and on allowing work to develop at its own pace while living alongside a small group of international artists on the property. Opportunities to share work exist, but participation is informal and never required. About every five days, we gather for a shared dinner. Each resident prepares a dish, and we eat together. It is a simple way of marking time and staying connected without turning the residency into a social program. During their stay, residents are invited to give an informal talk. This can be about their background, their current work, or the questions they are working through while here. These talks are conversational rather than formal, and often reflect work that is still in progress. Twice a year, we organise an open studio and invite the local community to visit. Residents open their studios and share what they have been working on, whether finished or not. On those days, we cook together again — a larger meal this time — and welcome guests to eat with us. It is not a formal exhibition. It is simply a way of opening the doors. Duration of residency 3 to 8 weeks Accommodation OBRAS is a small cluster of buildings and outdoor areas that have evolved. The property includes a main house with several apartments and work spaces, two cottages, four studios, outdoor working areas, and a swimming pool. The buildings sit close enough to feel connected, but far enough apart that you can move through the day without interruption. Residents live and work across the property rather than in a single building. Paths and open views connect apartments, studios, courtyards, and gardens. The scale is small enough that people encounter one another naturally, but large enough that everyone can find privacy when needed. The buildings themselves are part of the region’s rural architecture. The main house is roughly two centuries old, a typical Portuguese monte overlooking open land with the medieval fortress of Évoramonte visible on the horizon. The surrounding landscape is part of daily life at OBRAS. Many residents move between indoor and outdoor spaces as they work, stepping directly from studios and apartments into the fields and paths that surround the property. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Disciplines include but are not limited to: visual arts, video and film, installation art, fiber arts, jewelry, design music, writing, performance art, dance, theatrical, and research-based projectsStudio / Workspace The studios at OBRAS are straightforward workspaces. Some are large and open. Others are smaller and more contained. Spaces are assigned based on availability and the needs of the work. The rooms are simple: high ceilings, stone or cement floors, and natural light. There are no sinks or built-in technical infrastructure. Artists are expected to work within the limitations of the space. There are five indoor studios for working, ranging in size from 5x5m up to 10x30m. There is also a studio dedicated to music, which includes a piano and assorted musical instruments. In Addition there are multiple outdoor spaces to work. The land extends in every direction, and several defined exterior areas can be used for projects that need scale, air, or distance from walls. Some are structured by stone. Others are simply open ground. Wind, light, heat, and time of day become part of the conditions. Residents move between interior and exterior spaces depending on the needs of the work. There is no hierarchy between them. A workspace can also be a patch of earth, a circle of stone, or a stretch of open sky. The surrounding landscape is quiet but not neutral. It carries agricultural history, traces of earlier structures, and long sight-lines toward Évoramonte. For some artists, this becomes part of the work, for others, it is simply the ground on which the residency unfolds.Fees and support The apartments and houses are simple and priced according to their size and layout. All costs are per week. Casa Principal:    165€ (245€ for two people). Casa Vicente:      210€ (310€ for two). Casa Miradouro: 200€ (320€ for two). Some residents come on their own, others share the time with a partner. The spaces can accommodate both, depending on availability. Ateliers are available as needed, based on availability, and are 50€ per week. Currently, the ateliers have electricity and gas heaters but no other facilities. In cultures dating back thousands of years, blue—the colour of the skies—has been intimately associated with the spiritual, while simultaneously signifying power, status, and beauty. As one of the three traditional primary colours, blue constantly surrounds us in our day-to-day lives; it defines our world so deeply that Earth itself is famously called the "Blue Planet.” Historically, this ubiquitous colour was incredibly rare and costly. Ultramarine blue was crafted exclusively from lapis lazuli, a semiprecious stone mined in what is now Afghanistan. Because of its scarcity, for centuries of Western art, this precious pigment was strictly reserved for the highest honour: painting the Virgin Mary’s cloak. This theme is quite open and all genres of photography are welcome, all that is required is the colour BLUE. Our exhibition will also coincide with a variety of cultural events in Kamnik such as ‘The May Flower Exhibition’ at Volčji Potok Arboretum, ‘Križnik's Fairytale Festival’ (storytelling festival) and ‘Museum Summer Night’ at the Intermunicipal Museum Kamnik. Submission Details: Artists can submit up to 3 images from which ONE will be selected for the show. Successful artists will be asked to email us a high-resolution image of the chosen work. Selected artists will have their work displayed in a 4 week-long exhibition in our gallery, with their work also appearing online on our social media pages with a link to their websites. We will print all images A4 size and each photograph will also be individually mounted and framed, so no need to post anything. Every contribution must be an original artwork. Residency with a Glass Casting Technique Course – September-October 2026 Deadline: 15 Aug 2026 Country: Czech Republic At the beginning of the residency, participants will be introduced to the specific technique of kiln-cast glass sculpture—melting glass shards into custom-made molds. Residents will create a clay model, produce a negative mold, and fill it with glass for casting. The finished piece can then be further refined through grinding, polishing, or sandblasting. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the entire process and create their own glass sculpture under expert guidance in a fully equipped workshop. The residency is open to both experienced glassmakers and complete beginners. All materials are included. At the end of the residency, participants will leave with their finished artwork. Duration of residency 5-6 weeks Accommodation Accommodation is not provided by our institution. However, we can help with finding a suitable apartment / short-stay rental for the duration of the residency. At 120 m2, it comprises a home plus 2 large rooms, each a live-in workspace. L’Appartamento is a place to come for a creative retreat, to work on a project, to experience life in the South of Italy and Naples, and to be inspired by your time here.
