Two for One – Publish Your Opportunities with ArtDeadline.Com ArtDeadline.Com News Editor Location New York New York, United States Dat Internet NYC4PA : Decay, Corrosion, Rust Opportunity Description International Deadline: August 16, 2026 – The New York Center for Photographic Art (NYC4PA) invites photographers world-wide to submit images using any photographic process (print, image transfer, emulsion transfer, encaustic, black and white, etc.). Winners will receive $4,000 in cash awards, be featured in the NYC4PA Online Gallery and in the winners catalog. The Grand Prize winning image will be posted on the NYC4PA home page.. THEME Time, neglect, and exposure the elements can have amazing effects on the appearance of so many things. Despite the usual focus on new shiny objects, these are often not just visually compelling as those that have stood the test of time and present their own unique appeal. Walk around to capture the amazing textures and colors in old rusted cars, peeling paint on a rundown building, walls, doors, and windows of an abandoned, dilapidated, factory, contrasting plaster and lathing on a corroded wall and the myriad of possible captures in a junkyard. Neighborhoods, disparagingly called “run down”, are treasure troves of “decayed” tumble down houses, “corroded” discarded toys, “rusted” cars, trash cans and so on. Decay, Corrosion, Rust…can take many forms, black and white, color, abstract – all photographic media are welcome. ELIGIBILITY This Call for Entries is open worldwide to both amateur and professional photographers. NYC4PA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Only 2-D work is eligible. JUROR Darren Ching is the Co-Owner of the Klompching Gallery, New York. Established in 2007, the gallery specializes in the exhibition and sale of innovative, contemporary, photo-based artworks. In 2024, the gallery transitioned to an online business model, underpinned by bespoke collector/institutional art placement, sales and events. His expertise in photography spans 25+ years, including judging photo competitions, curating exhibits, and contributing to publications and panel discussions on the subject. He has been an Adjunct Faculty member at SVA, an External Examiner for MICA’s BFA Photography program, and Guest Critic at RISD, and Parsons School of Design. Formerly, he was the Creative Director of Photo District News… see more EXHIBITION AND AWARDS There will be 10 cash prizewinners, 20 Juror Selections and 20 Honorable Mentions. - Grand Prize: One photographer will receive $1,100. - First Prize:3 photographers will each receive $400. - Second Prize:3 photographers will each receive $325. - Third Prize:3 photographers will each receive $250. ONLINE GALLERY, CATALOG and AWARD CERTIFICATE All prizewinners will be included in both the online gallery and catalog and be presented with a certificate. ENTRY FEE The entry fee is $40 for the first three images. Additional images may be submitted for $10 each. There is no limit to the number of images submitted.
