Residency at Casa Figueira 2026 Deadline: 10 Aug 2026 Country: Brazil São João Farm is located near the mountains of Teresópolis and Petrópolis in Rio de Janeiro state. We produce agroecological coffee and foment creative immersions, residencies, retreats and rituals for over a decade. Applications are open to all those who have an interest in developing their works and research in a rural context. Under the shade of an old Fig tree, a house with four bedrooms, large communal spaces, a studio, kitchen, bathroom, terrace, a vegetable garden and an open air shower. We welcome artists, musicians, filmmakers, writers, activists, teachers, scientists, dancers, performers, researchers, agriculture related people and other creatives. Duration of residency 20 days Accommodation We have 4 bedrooms equipped with mosquito nets, fans, and desks—available as single or double, depending on the resident´s preferences. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance We invite artists, farmers, thinkers, makers, and practitioners from various fields to immerse themselves in rural life, creating connections with the land, territory, and collective living.Studio / Workspace Common areas include a kitchen, studio, living room, bathroom, and a breezy terrace—all collectively maintained.Fees and support R$ 1200 – Quarto Duplo Valor Sul Global / Double Room Global South fee R$ 2500 – Quarto Individual Valor Sul Global / Single Room Global South fee R$ 2000 – Quarto Duplo Valor Norte Global / Double Room Global North fee R$ 3500 – Quarto Individual Valor Norte Global / Single Room Global North fee R$ 4500 ou mais – valor solidário: colabora com a manutenção e a infraestrutura do espaço, assim como apoia a nossa politica de bolsas / Support fee: collaborates with the space maintenance + allows us to provide grants.
