We welcome applications from dance artists as well as artists from other disciplines who use movement in their practice. The selected artist(s) will receive a £20,000 commission, development support, up to two weeks of studio space in kind. It will tour for five weeks as part of The Playground Tour and might be offered further touring opportunities at partners’ festivals. Who can apply: Be based in the UK. Be applying for a work with a strong and distinctive movement element - we welcome applications from dance artists as well as artists from other disciplines who use movement in their practice Have previous experience of making and touring high quality work in different contexts. (Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas) is an international residency program for artists born from the need to generate links and exchanges. In these residencies, we contemplate production and artistic reflection in relation to multidisciplinary synergies and collaborations. We are a decentralized and self-managed program operating through a training and support network made up of more than 25 local artist studios ready to receive others in their spaces. Our dynamic is primarily itinerant and relational. Since 2014, we have opened our doors in Buenos Aires, a city where we have hosted more than 300 residents and where we have generated different scholarship programs for both Argentine and foreign artists, developing agreements with various institutions and contributing to the strengthening of production and exchange between disciplines. Since 2024, we inaugurated our program in Bogotá. The key element of the residencies we propose is the possibility of working with different artists, curators, managers, and researchers in an itinerant manner during a specific time; this is essential for generating spaces for dialogue and collaboration between participants and hosts. In parallel with the work processes in each space, we generate an agenda of activities such as studio visits, talks, and clinics, among others, which are complementary and enrich the experience of each resident, allowing them to relate to different spaces and actors according to the nature of their own projects. Duration of residency We invite artists, managers, curators, and other interested parties from Argentina and all nationalities to apply for the 2nd Session R.A.R.O. Buenos Aires program is aimed at a wide range of profiles, including artists with or without academic training, self-taught, emerging, or professional creators of any background, and researchers working in any artistic medium. Furthermore, the call extends to curators, cultural and social managers, human rights defenders, and anyone interested in developing projects linked to art and culture.   This residency format consists of a period of six (6) weeks. Within this timeframe, four (4) weeks are dedicated to working in the selected studios. There, residents will be able to develop their processes, connect with other artists in the program, and meet the local artists working in each space. Subsequently, the residency will conclude with a one (1) week final exhibition. During this week, and alongside a mounting team and the edition’s curator, each resident will receive the necessary support so the group can exhibit the processes they worked on during the program. Ercan Arslan laid his academic foundations at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Photography, and completed his master’s degree at the same institution in 2019. At the heart of his professional career is his 30-year role (1993-2023) as a photojournalist and photo editor at Milliyet Newspaper. İlkay Öztürk is a photographer, instructor, and creative director specialized in gastronomy photography, visual storytelling, and brand content. With a strong narrative language coming from a background in journalism and publishing, she has been conducting professional work in communication, content production, and photography for over 25 years. Sumru Gözaydın is a senior corporate communications professional in strategic marketing and brand communication in the food industry. After her university education at Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, she joined Durum Gıda in 2020 as Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager after working for many years in various communication roles at established agencies and international brands. Open Call 2027 – Sardinia Island, Italy Deadline: 07 Sep 2026 Country: Italy Nocefresca is the first active and permanent artistic residency program in Sardinia. It is a house that welcomes artists and creative professionals from all over the world to the rural villages of Sardinia for research and creative experimentation, involving both participants and local communities in a cultural exchange experience. By inviting a limited number of artists in areas far from the tourist coasts, Nocefresca creates a sustainable experience able to contribute to the territory and support it in the periods when it experiences less tourist flow and it is therefore the most authentic and beautiful. The residency is primarily self-directed and, as an artist, you are expected to be self-sufficient in your practice. However, Nocefresca organises some activities to help you fuel your artistic process: – Presentation of each one’s practice to the group – Individual and group meetings with the guest curator for assistance and feedback – Opportunity to propose site-specific projects, talks and workshops – Final open-studio event, open to the public – Every month, a local person of our choosing takes the artists to his/her favourite places in the village of Milis and outside of it (transportation included) – Other outdoor excursions and explorations, screening of films, visiting artists and social activities with the local community are extra activities that can happen spontaneously during the residency and can be facilitated by our team. Artists live in shared apartments and they can choose to have a private bathroom or shared. There is also the possibility to have a complete private accomodation in a cottage in the countryside. The houses are equipped with full amenities: kitchen, hot water, WiFi, washer. Bed sheets and towels are provided, as are basic kitchen necessities and appliances. The hosts do a general cleaning at the beginning and at the end of your stay. Each artist is responsible for the recycling. Free parking available on the street. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Nocefresca is great for visual artists, photographers, writers, multi-disciplinary artists, designers, composers and creative nomads. We schedule curatorial assistance throughout the entire residency, but we are also always happy to visit your studio, exchange ideas or give some practical help. Casa Bagnolo, Casa Oaxaca, and the Orchard Studio. Casa Bagnolo is the main hub of the residency. Inside Casa Bagnolo there are four studios, each equipped with a desk, rolling chair, armchair, storage space, and good lighting, and an open communal space with a library, a refreshment point for a cup of coffee, two desks for reading or writing, a corner with sofa and armchairs great for casual chats, movie screenings or just relaxing. Outdoors, Casa Bagnolo offers a cozy courtyard with tables in the shade perfect for working or eating and armchairs under the palms to soak in the Sardinian sun. There is also a shed with some tools functioning as a small workshop that can be accessed upon request. Casa Oaxaca is an old house refurbished by our hosts Italo and Leo, equipped with two bedrooms, two studios equipped with a desk, rolling chair, armchair, storage space, and good lighting, and an 80 sq m outdoor workspace in the internal courtyard: a small oasis of peace ideal for those who want to work outdoors, designed by our hosts: the local garden designers Italo and Leo. The Orchard Cottage is a countryside cottage located a 20-minute walk, a 10-minute bike ride, or a 5-minute drive from Milis. It is a fully private space that functions both as a studio and accommodation.Fees and support The participation fee depends on the kind of studio and the housing type chosen by the artist. The fees vary from 1,650 to 1,880 euros per month. Expectations towards the artist At Nocefresca, artists are free to develop their own projects without any restriction regarding topic or outcome. As a curatorial choice, every year we pick a theme upon which we establish our plan of activities. Online Application Key Dates - Application Deadline: 7 September 2026 - Selection Deadline: 6 October 2026 - Artist Notification: 17 October 2026 - Private View: 5 December 2026 - Public Opening: 6 December 2026 - Exhibition Closes: 21 February 2027 Location Limerick, Ireland Additional Details - A selection panel composed of five to eight invited artists will review submissions. - Selection decisions are final and no feedback will be provided. - All selected works are expected to be available for sale unless otherwise agreed in advance. - The museum retains a 25% commission on sales. - Artists should factor framing and commission costs into their pricing. - Artists are responsible for delivering and collecting their works. - Artists are strongly encouraged to insure their artwork during transportation and exhibition. - International applicants must ensure compliance with customs regulations and cover any associated duties or taxes. - Artwork images may be used by the museum for promotional and publicity purposes, including catalogues, websites, press materials, social media, and public engagement campaigns. - Uncollected works incur a charge of €10 per day and may be disposed of after one week if not retrieved. - Packaging materials cannot be stored by the museum and must be removed after artwork delivery.
