With over 35 years of experience working alongside artists, I understand the profound impact of having the right environment, time, space, and thoughtful support, to focus and advance your practice. Whether you’re at the beginning of your career or an established artist seeking renewed clarity and momentum, we welcome you. This residency is designed for dedicated creatives ready to engage fully, work with purpose, and make meaningful progress in their practice. About the Residency Nestled at the foot of the Alpilles, our residency is housed in a lovingly restored 17th-century olive mill, where rustic stone and original beams meet elegant, eclectic interiors. The spacious 100-square-metre studio opens onto fragrant gardens—a sanctuary for creativity, imagination, and cultural exchange. An adjacent conservatory-style 12-metre pool, embraced by lush ferns, colonial furnishings, and vibrant, garden-hued cushions, invites morning yoga, gentle or more rigorous exercise, and soothing late-night dips before sleep beckons. Dining spaces are tucked beneath trailing vines, within courtyards blooming with wildflowers, and alongside gardens filled with rosemary, lavender, and the heady magic of spring. Multiple kitchens and a thriving herb garden support our farm-to-table ethos, with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients at the heart of every meal. Cooking here is guided by a deep love of freshness; each dish generous, vibrant, and thoughtfully composed, celebrating simplicity, flavour, and nourishment. A sweeping 30-metre gallery, alive with art and the quiet presence of a piano, completes this immersive haven—crafted to inspire connection, creation, and community.
