Steeped in Sunshine - Juried Exhibition Entry Deadline: Oct 15, 2026, 11:59:00 PM Eligibility: State Entry Fee: 20.00 Florida Steeped in Sunshine - Juried Exhibition Soft Water Gallery is looking for original works of fine art that celebrate the Sunshine State's flora, fauna, and scenic vistas. Any and all interpretations of Florida's natural world will be eligible for consideration. We are looking for artwork that gets at the heart of what makes this state's ecology so special, work that celebrates the natural wonder that surrounds us, or work that illuminates a unique perspective. Artists are able to submit up to 3 original works Soft Water Gallery is looking for original works of fine art that celebrate the Sunshine State's flora, fauna, and scenic vistas. Any and all interpretations of Florida's natural world will be eligible for consideration. We are looking for artwork that gets at the heart of what makes this state's ecology so special, work that celebrates the natural wonder that surrounds us, or work that illuminates a unique perspective. Artists are able to submit up to 3 original works of fine art that adhere to the specified requirements. Selected works will be displayed in the gallery for sale as part of this special event. Works juried into the exhibition will be eligible for judging, with prizes of $1500 awarded for First Place, $750 for Second Place, and $500 for Third Place entries. The Gallery/Artist split is 50/50 for any work that is sold during the exhibition. Artwork Requirements - All artwork must measure 13 × 16 × 2 inches or smaller, including the frame if applicable. - Three-dimensional artwork is eligible only if it can be securely wall-hung and does not exceed 2 inches in depth - No prints/giclees unless they are limited edition hand-printed works (i.e. block prints, etchings…). - Artwork must be ready to hang and professionally presented, such as gallery-wrapped or framed. - Artwork created using generative AI will not be accepted. - All submitted artwork must be available for sale. Artist Responsibilities - Artists are responsible for delivering accepted artwork to the gallery during the designated drop-off period. - Artists are responsible for picking up any unsold artwork during the designated pickup period. - Accepted artists must submit a completed Form W-9. Important Dates - Submission deadline: October 15 - Acceptance notifications: October 20 - Artwork drop-off: October 28–31, from 12:00–6:00 p.m. - Special drop-off arrangements: Call or text 813-992-3325 to schedule. - Juried art show: November 7 - Awards presented: November 7 - Unsold artwork pickup: November 11–13 This arts experience is made possible by a Creative Pinellas grant through Pinellas County arts tourism funding.
