About Pratt & Under the Sound Pratt Fine Arts Center is a vibrant hub for creativity, community, and hands-on art education in Seattle. Across 14 professional working studios, Pratt provides artists of all ages and experience levels with the tools, space, and opportunities to create and grow. Drawing inspiration from the beauty and mystery of the Pacific Northwest, Under the Sound brings together artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts on Saturday, May 15, 2027, to celebrate our creative community while raising vital funds for arts education, youth and teen programs, affordable studio access, free community offerings, and more. In appreciation of the artists who make this event possible, artists may choose to receive a 40% commission on artwork sales or donate 100% of proceeds to Pratt. Participating artists also receive 2 complimentary After Party tickets, a yearlong Pratt Collaborator Membership, and opportunities for exposure and special recognition. Auction Details & How to Participate Selected artwork will be featured in one of three auction formats: - Online Auction: A week-long, exclusively online auction inviting art lovers near and far to discover and bid on exceptional works. - Art Sale: A curated selection of artwork available for purchase at fair market value, accessible to both dinner and after-party guests. - Live Auction: Select artworks and experiences take center stage during our seated dinner program, exclusively for dinner guests. Eligibility & Artwork Requirements We welcome submissions from artists working across all mediums and disciplines! Artists may submit up to three original works for consideration. All artwork must be suitable for display on a pedestal or wall during the event. Works requiring specialized installation or technical support may not be accommodated. Explicit content is not permitted. Artists from all geographic locations are welcome to apply. Accepted artwork must be delivered to Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, either in person or shipped at the artist's expense. High-quality artwork images are required for jury review and our printed auction catalog. Photography assistance is available during our in-person artist office hours. Pratt will determine auction placement and coordinate artwork presentation, installation, and promotion. Additional details will be shared with selected artists. A small photography station will be available to help capture images of your artwork. No RSVP required. Virtual: Join us via Zoom for application guidance, technical troubleshooting, and questions. Free registration is required to receive the meeting link.
