The selection committee considers professional background, project quality, connection to contemporary social, political, environmental, and technological issues, and the importance of France to the project. Applicants also submit previous projects relevant to the proposal and evidence of activities and workshops conducted with different audiences. These requirements create several points where the proposal, portfolio, public-engagement history, and reason for working in France need to reinforce one another.
