Ten Weeks – Intensive Contemporary Dance Program 2027 Sep 22, 2026 | Dance Programs A ten-week intensive contemporary dance program in Madrid combining somatic practice, contemporary dance training, artistic research, creation and performance. Where: Tejido Conectivo, Madrid, Spain When: January 11 – March 20, 2027 Deadline for applications: October 30, 2026 TEN WEEKS is an intensive contemporary dance program in Madrid designed for dancers and movement artists who want to deepen their physical practice, explore new approaches to movement and develop their own artistic research within an intensive and collaborative environment. From January 11 to March 20, 2027, participants will engage in ten weeks of training, research, creation and performance, with a strong emphasis on somatic practice, body awareness and movement exploration. The program combines Contemporary Dance, Release, Floorwork, Structural Bodywork, Somatic Techniques, Contact Improvisation, Partnering, Acrobatics, Ballet Basics and Street Dance Basics, alongside practices in Improvisation, Composition, Dramaturgy, Movement Research and Choreographic Creation. Throughout the ten weeks, each participant will develop their own artistic project, working individually or collaboratively in a solo, duet, trio or group format. The creative process includes a Work in Progress studio presentation on February 25 and culminates in site-specific performances during the final week. The program also includes two intensive workshops: Improvisation, Composition & Dramaturgy with Libertad Pozo and Movement Research & Creation with Andrea Amor. TEN WEEKS is open to participants with previous experience in dance or movement practice. Professional dance education is not required. Classes are held in English in an international environment.
