OPEN CALL – REDSAPATA ARTIST RESIDENCIES 2027 Deadline: 31 Jan 2027 Country: Austria RedSapata is an independent cultural initiative and residency platform based in Linz, Austria, dedicated to contemporary dance, choreography and interdisciplinary performing arts. We offer space, infrastructure and opportunities for artistic research, creation, production and international exchange. Our residency programme supports independent artists and collectives working with movement, performance and the body, including projects that connect artistic practice with visual arts, digital technologies, science and social practices. Located at Sonnenstein Loft and AUBERGiNE, RedSapata provides professional studio facilities, shared community spaces and opportunities to connect with a local and international network of artists. Our approach combines dedicated working time with an open, collaborative environment. We understand the residency as more than a place to rehearse: it is a space for experimentation, exchange, reflection and the development of new artistic perspectives. We welcome proposals at different stages of development, from early-stage artistic research and conceptual exploration to the development of new productions. The programme operates on a self-funded basis, with two residency packages offering different levels of infrastructure and accommodation.
