SAIKONEON Artist-in-Residence 2026 Artist in Residence Updated: 18 December 2025 Artist in Residence SAIKONEON Artist-in-Residence 2026 Updated: 18 December 2025 Year-round residency on the shores of Lake Saiko (Yamanashi, near Mt. Fuji) supporting research, creation, and exchange across disciplines. Stays range 30–90 days. Selection is based on originality, curiosity, and the strength of your proposed project. Who can apply: Individuals or groups across visual art, design, literature, performance, music, and manga/cartoon. Applications accepted in Japanese or English. Artists must be able to cover all costs, arrange insurance, and secure any required visa. What you get: A 30–90 day residency environment near Lake Saiko with curatorial selection and limited local transport support (within ~1 hour driving, no highways). Note: no scholarships/financial aid and generally no exhibition space provided.
