Join StartArt Residency in Northern Portugal for a practical weekend workshop led by Isra Martínez Herrero, a Madrid-trained painter, illustrator, mural artist, and teacher who has created five large murals at StartArt. Learn the essential steps of mural painting: inspiration, sketching, colour, composition, wall preparation, transferring the design, and painting together. No previous experience is required. The workshop includes materials, creative spaces, accommodation, three vegetarian meals per day, and time to enjoy nature beside the Homem River. Learn the process. Paint your first mural. The program includes accommodation, all meals, painting materials, studio access, and guided mural instruction. Collective Sketch Develop the concept together, create the composition, and define each participant’s role. Colour Study Choose a colour palette and test combinations before painting. Transferring the Design Learn how to scale the sketch, prepare the wall, and transfer the composition. Painting the Mural Work together on the final artwork, refine details, and complete the mural.
