VIR Viafarini-in-residence January-April 2027 Deadline: 25 Oct 2026 Country: Italy OPEN CALL Viafarini residency January-April 2027 VIR Viafarini-in-residence is organized in Milano, Italy, since 2008 by Viafarini, non profit organization for the promotion of artistic research founded in Milan in 1991. VIR Viafarini-in-residence is a shared studio program, conceived as a platform for artistic production and research, based on knowledge sharing among participant artists. VIR Viafarini-in-residence is located in Milan Via Carlo Farini 35 in Isola district, and at the Viafarini.work spaces at Via Marco d’Agrate 33 in the Corvetto district. Activities: _ artists are invited to present their ongoing research and project proposal at the beginning of the residency so as to introduce themselves to the rest of the resident artists and to curators and creative professionals of Viafarini network; _ the project of the artists are communicated and promoted through Viafarini network in order to receive studio visits by Milanese and Italian art professionals; _ the work of resident artists is also communicated through Viafarini social media; _ the team provides curatorial support and organizes cultural visits to nearby cultural centers and workshop; _ at the end of each residency period a final Open Studio event is organized in both venues, allowing visitors to enjoy the works of the artists as well as the research findings. Every Open Studio event is documented through photo and archived in the organization website A contribution of €4.000 is required for participation in the residency cycle, with accommodation in the studio apartment, upstairs the working space.
