A one-week session with Zenon Zubyk, exploring movement through rhythm, theatricality and a deeply personal approach to performance. Part of the NOD International Contemporary Dance Program and open to only 5 external dancers. Apply now! Where: NOD Nuova Officina della Danza , Via Mantova 34 Torino – Italy When: Jan. 25 – Jan. 29, 2027 Deadline for applications: As long as there is space. The number of participants is limited. First come first serve. Description of opportunity: Zenon is a Canadian-born choreographer, director, and performance artist working at the intersection of dance and theatre. He has danced professionally with Ballet BC, GöteborgsOperans Danskompani, and most recently with Nederlands Dans Theater 1. Using the body as a medium for oblique and rhythmical inquiry, his work is rooted in a deeply personal relationship to the passing of time: reasoning with the absurd and grappling with existentialism. He interrogates traditional modes of dance spectatorship and crafts tangible, resonant atmospheres that are felt rather than merely observed. By exposing the tension that exists between performative and rehearsed states, his work deconstructs the ephemeral nature of live performance, provoking questions about where it begins and ends. How to apply: In order to apply, please upload your CV together with two separate links – one showcasing yourself in an improvisation session ( 1 minute – 1 take ) and one where you execute a set piece of choreography ( max 2 minutes ).
