Guides Alessia Mallardo (IT) An Italian Butoh dancer, dance therapist, and researcher whose interdisciplinary practice connects movement, psychology, and sensory exploration, focusing on body memory and emotional expression. Rita Soma (ES) A nomadic artist working in physical theatre since 2008 and practicing Butoh since 2016. Her work explores the invisible between worlds, integrating shadow, light, dreams, and unseen realities through the body. Marius Soluna (CH) A multidisciplinary artist exploring human evolution, embodied awareness, and transformative dance. His practice combines visual art, Vipassana, Butoh, ritual, visual poetry, and somatic disciplines. Zalina Gamat (IN) Practicing Butoh since 2016, primarily with Rhizome Lee and Yumiko Yoshioka. Now a Somatic and Movement Therapist, her practice explores healing, existential and spiritual inquiry, and the body’s relationship with the sacred and darkness. Santeri Vikström (FI) A Butoh practitioner and somatic researcher from Helsinki. Since 2012, he has explored the intersections of Butoh, wisdom traditions, and improvisational theatre, studying with more than 20 teachers and presenting workshops and performances worldwide. Dilshan Srt (IN) A “Gastronomist” exploring perception and movement through Butoh and Contact Improvisation. His practice investigates movement through in-between spaces, shadows, and subconscious states, developing movement “recipes” and stories. Adam Koan (USA) Facilitator and guide for Butoh Pokhara. A Venezuela-born, USA-raised Butoh artist, he has guided Butoh internationally since 2016. He founded the Shadowbody Butoh Manual and Butoh Directory and has studied extensively under Rhizome Lee and Julie Becton Gillum.
