PERMANENT CALL – Non toxic printmaking in Patagonia Deadline: 30 Apr 2027 Country: Argentina Our artist-in residence programs are designed to provide a creative and supportive environment for printmakers from all over the world who seek to immerse themselves in an atmosphere surrounded by forest and mountains that vary their colors during the four seasons of the year. We distinguish ourselves by motivating and accompanying both those who are just starting out and those who are more experienced with a contemporary approach aimed at aesthetic and technological experimentation we specialize ourselves in sustainable less toxic techniques. We create customised according to your goals and interests, allowing you to combine training with time for independent work. We are located in Villa Los Coihues, a neighborhood that maintains mountain town traditions that allow you to move around calmly and lead a simple and uncomplicated life. You will be able to connect with landscapes and sensations that will expand the perception of your senses. You will find trails that will take you around the lake, centuries-old Coihues forests, a waterfall, and viewpoints on San Martín Hill. The studio is 40 minutes by bus from the city of Bariloche, characterized by its traditional chocolate and craft beer and its varied cuisine. Duration of residency Duration: 2 weeks. Accommodation Accomodation for one or two people available: The bedroom/study with bathroom is located on the upper floor of the workshop and is accessed via a staircase. We have a double bed where two can sleep well. Kitchen, hot water, refrigerator and washing machine. Sheets and towels are provided, as well as basic kitchen items and appliances. Wifi available 24 hours a day. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance We have a full equiped printmaking studio that occupies an area of 13 m2. On the upper floor is the drawing, sketching and design studio, which has a floor plan of 13 m2. It's provided with armchairs, stools and high desks of 60 x 80 cm.We provide artists with tools to carry out relief, intaglio techniques, photographic lithography and basic supplies for these processes. Paper and plates are not included but can be purchased at cost.Studio / Workspace The printmaking studio is located on the ground floor and occupies an area of 13 m2. The studio consists of an intaglio press with a 50 x 70 cm platen and equipment and materials to develop relief, intaglio, surface printmaking techniques.Fees and support We have different rates for training and improvement programs depending on the technique chosen and the duration of the course. We also offer technical assistance for the creation program. There could be an extra fee for cleaning and printing supplies in the creation program depending on the technique chosen and the amount of supplies provided. We provide artists with tools to carry out relief and intaglio techniques and basic supplies for these processes. Paper and plates are not included but can be purchased at cost. Radal Studio is an autonomous and self-managed space. We do not receive financial aid or subsidies of any kind. Do not hesitate to contact us and we will give you a quote tailored to your needs. Expectations towards the artist We encourage resident artists to carry out an exchange with the community through a talk, an exhibition of their production or a small workshop, but it is not mandatory.
