Tanecno 2026 – Dance Festival with David Zambrano, Jarkko Mandelin and Vasko Nasonov Jul 19, 2026 | Intensives Celebrate 10 years of Tanečno – a multi-genre festival of dance and movement bringing together different dance styles, internationally acclaimed artists, performances and five days of artistic exchange in Slovakia. Description of opportunity: Tanečno, the international multi-genre festival of dance and movement celebrates its exceptional 10th anniversary edition. Tanečno connects different dance styles, artistic approaches and communities – from contemporary dance and improvisation to street dance, movement theatre, interdisciplinary work and events in public space. Over five festival days, professional dancers, emerging artists, dance enthusiasts and local audiences meet through workshops, masterclasses, performances, battles, installations, discussions and community projects. The 2026 workshop programme is led by internationally acclaimed artists, including: David Zambrano – Improvisation on Stage A three-day workshop exploring the creation of dance improvisation in front of an audience. Participants will investigate the relationship between body, mind, time and space and develop their ability to create and perform in the present moment. Jarkko Mandelin / Kinetic Orchestra – Contemporary Floorwork & Acrobatic Partnering Finnish choreographer, dancer and teacher Jarkko Mandelin will lead workshops that emphasizes overall physicality and the ability to adapt to different ways of moving either alone or with a dance partner. Kinetic Orchestra will also present its performance BOLERO as part of the festival programme. Vasko Nasonov – Impulses Gravity Rebounce Flow Participants will explore biomechanics, impulse, gravity, rebound and flow while expanding their movement vocabulary and discovering new ways of generating and redirecting energy through the body. Alongside these workshop highlights, Tanečno 2026 will present a diverse programme of different dance genres. Purchasing a PASS secures a discounted festival package but does not automatically reserve a place in individual workshops. Registration for specific workshops and performances will open once the complete programme, prices and timetable have been announced.
