During workshop, Sticky Fingers Club will share practices developed through the creation of the performance Sticky Fingers Club – a collectively created work rooted in play, exaggeration and the freedom to step beyond our usual competencies. Together, we will explore focus, frontality and peripheral action, experimenting with ways of occupying and transforming space. Through physical practices, we will work with looped rhythmic structures, music, repetition and collectivity, while searching for different strategies of being seen, taking up space and intervening in our surroundings. We will play with the relationship between the body, appearance and presence – asking how performance can transform the way we perceive ourselves and the space around us.
