Peripheral Acts Edition 2: Leaning Out Artist in Residence just added Updated: 17 September 2026 Artist in Residence just added Peripheral Acts Edition 2: Leaning Out Updated: 17 September 2026 A site-responsive residency commissioning three UAE-based artists to develop interventions using residential balconies as spaces for artistic inquiry, public encounter and reflection on privacy, visibility, belonging and everyday urban life. Who can apply: Artists currently based in the UAE who have easy, ongoing access to a residential balcony they can work with during the residency, either their own or one belonging to a friend or family member. What you get: A AED 1,000 artist commission fee, AED 1,500 production budget, four in-person group sessions, a month-long intervention period, and support to develop a site-responsive work and semi-public event.
