La Nave Art Residency – International Residencies Program Deadline: 31 Oct 2026 Country: Argentina With the intention of stimulating artistic production, and of contributing to the establishment of collaborative bonds and opportunities for international exchange between artists, curators, theorists, critics, managers and other cultural actors, La Nave Art Residency launches the 2026 international call for its residency program in Buenos Aires. The call proposes three residency modalities: Artistic production: This residency is open to artists from all disciplines who wish to carry out a creative project. The program aims to foster a working environment that encourages experimentation, research, and artistic production in dialogue with La Nave’s natural surroundings, with the guidance and support of Andrés Waissman and his team. Residents will have the opportunity to develop their projects, take part in activities that promote exchange with other cultural agents, and create moments of public engagement to share the process or results of their work during the residency. Research: Intended for artists, curators, critics, researchers, and writers, this residency is designed for those who wish to deepen or develop research on the contemporary artistic and cultural landscape of Buenos Aires. Throughout the residency, participants will have the opportunity to engage with artists, cultural managers, and other professionals in the field, attend exhibitions and cultural events, and immerse themselves in the dynamics of the local scene. At the end of the residency, participants are expected to share part of their process or findings through presentations, texts, or other formats. Cultural Management: This residency is aimed at professionals in the field of cultural management who are interested in expanding their tools, experiences, and professional networks. The program is designed for cultural managers who wish to engage actively in the development, coordination, and mediation of cultural projects—whether within institutions, independent spaces, or community organizations. Throughout the residency, the focus is on the exchange of knowledge and methodologies with other actors in the cultural ecosystem, fostering mutual learning and collaboration. This residency offers an opportunity to reflect on management practices from a situated perspective, in dialogue with the challenges and specificities of the local scene. Duration of residency 3-4 weeks Accommodation Accommodation at La Nave Residents are hosted in the guest house of Andrés Waissman and Gachi Prieto, offering a comfortable and shared living environment. - Single bed in a private room / Double bed in a private room / Single bed in a shared room - Access to shared spaces, including bathrooms, kitchen, organic garden, and open-air patio - Recreational use of barbecue facilities, swimming pool, gardens, and other common areas - Utilities (water, electricity, and gas) included - Wi-Fi access Disciplines, work equipment and assistance This program operates as a platform for contemporary art research and production, aimed at fostering the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and professional connections among diverse cultural agents, contributing to the development of an international network. La Nave offers residents the opportunity to work for several weeks in the tranquility of the natural surroundings of Escobar, Buenos Aires, while engaging with the city’s contemporary art scene through a variety of activities and encounters. The residency hosts a reduced number of participants, allowing us to develop a program of parallel activities tailored to the interests and objectives of each resident. We provide time, space, and guidance to explore and experiment in a stimulating environment that encourages dialogue and collaboration among artists, curators, theorists, critics, art managers, and other cultural practitioners, as well as artists from all disciplines.Fees and support Our accommodation fees vary depending on the selected housing option and room type. Rates differ according to whether residents choose a private or shared space, as well as single or double occupancy. This flexible structure allows applicants to select the option that best suits their needs and budget. Expectations towards the artist We warmly invite artists, curators, writers, cultural practitioners, and professionals from related fields within the contemporary arts to develop their projects our residency program. Participants are encouraged to engage in meaningful exchanges with peers and local practitioners, fostering dialogue and collaboration. The program also includes the opportunity to present a final instance—such as an exhibition or open studio—to share processes and/or outcomes with the wider community.
