Deadline: 28 Feb 2027 Country: China About Art Residence Villa is located next to a riverside in a gated community,10 minutes walk to line 17 subway station -Zhujiajiao and subway will take you to anywhere in Shanghai. A short 5-minute walk to ancient water town, a 10 minutes walk path leads to a lake perfect for summer swimming, canoeing. Visitors can indulge in walks, Additional experiences include art community meetings, events, etc Our residence is also located in Shanghai’s largest artists and musicians community, many artists live in this area. Many resturants are close to the residence, very convinient for artists to live and create. . Duration of residency 1 – 3 months, flexible upon request. Accommodation Artists are housed in private bedrooms of approximately 15m2 and share communal kitchen, bathroom, and shower facilities. A washing machine is also available within the residency. The building boasts several inviting and inspiring shared spaces, lounges, and a co-working area. Bedrooms with private bathtub is limited; an additional cost of 50€/month applies. Mention this in your application. Residency fees of 700€/month include a private bedroom with private bathtub feature large windows and balcony with a view over the river. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Visual artists, illustrators, cartoonists, animators, musicians, writers, designers, artisans, journalists, curators, translators, and more are invited to apply for a residency at About. Workshop facilities painting basics, textilesStudio / Workspace Workspace is in the basement or you can choose to do in the living room or balcony or back yard in the garden.Fees and support 2025 residency fees are as follows: 15m2 private bedroom + shared working space for 500€/month or 10m2 bedroom with shared working space for 300€/month.
