NFT Art Residency in Belgrade — Belgrade AIR × Hartverse collaboration Deadline: 20 Aug 2026 Country: Serbia Belgrade AIR (BAIR) and Hartverse are inviting artists for a collaborative residency program in Belgrade, Serbia. This program is designed for artists who are curious about art niche in NFT ecosystems, digital/blockchain art communities, and new forms of art distribution — and who want to explore these questions while being immersed in a living, active local scene. The residency combines a private room in a shared apartment in New Belgrade with direct access to the Hartverse community https://hartverse.xyz/ — one of Belgrade’s most established NFT art hubs, known for its educational programs, institutional collaborations, and focus on onboarding artists into an ecofriendly blockchain ecosystem through objkt.com and teia.art. Residents will also be welcomed into Virtual Studio Groups (VSG), https://virtualstudiogroups.com/ an international community of artists meeting weekly online, opening a window into a global network of practices and conversations. About VSG Magazine VSG Magazine is the publication of Virtual Studio Groups — a curated international community of artists, curators, and cultural professionals, meeting every Sunday via Zoom. VSG grew out of the residency work at Belgrade AIR and has been running continuously since 2021. The magazine documents conversations, artist practices, and ideas emerging from this ongoing exchange. Resident articles are published as part of the dialogue between local and global art communities. About Hartverse Hartverse is a Belgrade-based NFT art community and education hub founded by Ivana Ehrensvärd. Coming from a background in archaeology and museum work, Ivana built Hartverse around the idea of care-based onboarding — helping traditional artists enter the Web3 space. Hartverse has collaborated with the National Museum of Serbia, the Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade, ULUS, and the University of Belgrade, and works primarily within the Tezos ecosystem through objkt.com. Duration of residency Two weeks or one month — applicants indicate their preference. Final dates are agreed with the hosts based on availability. Accommodation Private room in a shared apartment in New Belgrade or small apartment close to center — depending on availability. The apartment serves as both living and working space Disciplines, work equipment and assistance This call is open to artists working in photography, drawing, digital art, research-based practice, or other disciplines that do not require a dedicated studio or heavy materials. The living space is the working space — applicants should be comfortable with that format and ideally drawn to it. We welcome artists at any career stage who are interested in exploring the intersections of art, technology, and community. No prior experience with NFT or blockchain is required — curiosity and openness are enough. Hartverse's approach is rooted in education and care, and artists who are entirely new to Web3 are warmly encouraged to apply.
