MEMPHIS CALLING Exhibition Opportunity just added Updated: 08 October 2026 Exhibition Opportunity just added MEMPHIS CALLING Updated: 08 October 2026 MEMPHIS CALLING is an international open call for curators and curatorial collectives to develop an exhibition for Memphis in Linz, Austria. We are looking for distinctive curatorial approaches that engage with contemporary artistic, social, political and technological questions and bring together different perspectives and practices. The selected proposal will be developed in dialogue with the Memphis team and presented as an exhibition in 2027. We welcome experimental formats and approaches that challenge our expectations of what an exhibition can be. Who can apply: Open to curators and curatorial collectives internationally. Applicants may be at different stages of their professional practice; there are no age, residence or nationality restrictions. We are looking for curatorial exhibition proposals involving several artistic positions rather than projects focused primarily on the applicant’s own artistic practice. Applications can be submitted by individuals, duos or collectives. What you get: Up to €7,500 is available for the conception and realisation of the selected exhibition, covering the curatorial fee, artist fees, travel, transport, production, materials and project-specific technical costs. In addition, Memphis provides the exhibition space and existing infrastructure, organisational and technical support, communication and PR, and support for the opening and events. The selected proposal will be further developed in dialogue with the Memphis team. An optional working stay of up to 10 days in Linz is available, with accommodation provided free of charge.
