Audition Notice Danstheater Lien Sep 17, 2026 | Auditions Danstheater Lien are looking for a contemporary dancer to be a part of our new production. Where: Rotterdam, the Netherlands When: 13 October 2026 Deadline for applications: 3 October 2026 Danstheater Lien is a Rotterdam-based dance company under the artistic direction of Manouk Schrauwen. Working from an intuitive approach, Danstheater Lien creates layered, physical and poetic performances in which dance, text, voice and live music are woven into a shared theatrical language. We offer a safe and open working environment centred around collaboration and equality. We work with a small core team and rehearse in Capelle aan den IJssel and Rotterdam. We look forward to welcoming a new member to our team. We are looking for a professional contemporary dancer and an intern for our new production, which will premiere in June 2027. We are looking for: * Energetic, sociable and communicative dancers who contribute to an open and positive working environment, are confident in taking initiative and know when to leave space for others. * Performers who collaborate sensitively and as equals with a diverse group of dancers, including neurodivergent performers, and feel comfortable in a creative process centred around attention, connection and mutual attunement. * Dancers with a distinctive, powerful and grounded movement language, strong performance skills and an interest in improvisation and partnering. You should also be curious about working with dance, text, voice and live music. * You speak Dutch. Fluency is not required. * We have two available positions: one internship and one paid position for a professional dancer. The paid position will be compensated in accordance with the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement for Theatre and Dance. * You are available on Tuesdays and Fridays from January through June 2027. Rehearsals will not take place on both days every week. A more detailed schedule will be available around the time of the audition and communicated to applicants.
