Capture’s vision is to connect Vancouver to the world through lens-based art and act as a platform to expand visual literacy. Capture’s vision is to connect Vancouver to the world through lens-based art and act as a platform to expand visual literacy. Through this platform, we strive to give voice to traditionally underrepresented communities, and to present compelling, urgent lens-based art. Projects will be evaluated by a jury of arts professionals who are looking for applications that present primarily lens-based work demonstrating artistic excellence across a diverse range of subject matter. The 2027 jury consists of: Dr. Curtis Collins, Executive Director, Audain Art Museum Michelle Sound, Artist Gaëtane Verna, Curator and Arts Administrator Emmy Lee Wall, Executive Director and Chief Curator, Capture Photography Festival The submission fee is $20, which includes a 2027/2028 Capture Photography Festival Society membership and helps cover the costs of the submission platform. Please contact [email protected] for a waiver if this fee presents a barrier, or if you are already an active member. Please review the FAQ page before submitting to become familiar with the program requirements. Should your submission be accepted into the Festival, the information you provide here will be used to create the catalogue and website content for your exhibition. You will have a chance to update this information, and it is subject to editing for length and clarity. Please note this submission form does not apply to the Event Program.
