Kalakeli Movement Arts 2027 – 5th edition – 1, 2 or 3 Month Movement Arts Programme in Goa, India Aug 27, 2026 | Dance Programs Kalakeli Movement Arts is an intensive training programme in Goa, India bringing together acclaimed Indian and international teachers across contemporary dance, martial arts, yoga, improvisation and creative research. Where: Itaíba, Arambol, Goa, India When: 11 January – 2 April 2027 Deadline for applications: Registration closes – 1st December 2026 Kalakeli Movement Arts is an intensive training programme that brings together acclaimed Indian and international teachers to share their knowledge and inspire movement artists from around the world. The programme combines contemporary technique, traditional martial arts, yoga, meditation, fighting methodologies, improvisation and creative research, alongside complementary lectures exploring the body, mind and soul. Hosted at Itaíba in Arambol, Goa, the retreat unfolds among lush vegetation, exotic birds and monkeys, offering a beautiful and peaceful environment in which to move and connect with nature. Kalakeli gives participants the opportunity to deepen their existing practice while discovering disciplines and approaches that may be completely new to them. Who is it for? Kalakeli is for dancers, movement artists, actors, circus artists, martial arts practitioners and others with an existing physical practice. We welcome people from different disciplines and backgrounds who are curious, adventurous and willing to explore outside what they already know. Prices include: — 128+ hours of training per month — Evening and weekend space for personal use — Accommodation according to the room type booked and confirmed during registration — Two nutritious vegetarian/vegan meals per day, Monday–Friday, including a tea break and unlimited filtered water — Cacao ceremony and dance — Temazcal/sweat lodge experience (March only) Please note: Dinner and weekend meals are not included. How to apply: To apply for a place on our retreats or residencies, please complete the registration form in full with a letter of motivation and a link to a video of you moving. Our EARLY BIRD applications are now OPEN, with a limited number of places available at this special rate. We encourage you to apply early to avoid missing out! Incomplete applications, or applications received after 1 December 2026, will not be considered. Applications will be reviewed through a selection process throughout the registration period. We will confirm the outcome within one week of receiving your completed application. A non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve your place.
