SUMMER IN PATAGONIA Guided Training Residency in Printmaking Deadline: 30 Sep 2026 Country: Argentina A residency for learning or specializing in non toxic printmaking techniques aimed at those who want to discover a new medium or delve deeper into the field of non-toxic printmaking. We follow a personalized plan based on your previous knowledge and experience. The practice is structured from foundational principles to more complex techniques, allowing you to have an immersive experience during your stay. We offer training and specialization programs based on the selected techniques and course length. As a reference we can offer: – Basic technical initiation course (relief print, monotypes, white embossing) for 10 hours over 5 days – Etching and aquatint on metal plate with salt mordant for 12 hours over 5 days – Mokuhanga (woodblock printmaking with watercolours inks) for 20 hours over 5 days Jacquie Sullivan printing mokuhanga during her residency. Duration of residency The duration of the residency is 2 weeks. We count the weeks from Sunday of the first week to Friday of the second week (13 nights) Accommodation - Accomodation in a private room with a double You are welcome to bring a partner. The room will not be shared with anyone else. - Kitchen, hot water, refrigerator and washing machine. Sheets and towels are provided, as well as basic kitchen items and appliances. - Wi Fi available 24 hours a day. - Free street parking is available. - All resident artists have 24 hours access to the studio and work equipment according to their experience. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Other techniques of choice: Linocut and its variants (polychrome, lino reduction) Lithography on polyester plate or pronto plate litography (drawing and photographic method) Photolithography with offset plates Lithgraphy on recycled aluminium plates with citric acid (lemon juice) Tetra pack engraving or green engraving Blind embossing CollagrafStudio / Workspace Intaglio pres with a 50 x 70 cm plate Equipment and materials to develop relief, intaglio and surface printmaking techniques. Printing materials and cleaning supplies (rollers, black graphic ink, intaglio press, varnishes, lacquers, alcohol, salt mordants, developer for offset plates, spatulas, brushes, everyday work tools, drawing, cutting, and gluing supplies, common kitchen oil, rags, detergent, wallpaper base paper for printing, and sulfite and kitchen paper for cleaning). Printing paper and plates are not included. This can be purchased at cost.Fees and support The fee depends on the type of services you need. As a reference accommodation for one person, 13 nights is $500 Basic technical initiation course (monotypes, relief print) 10 hours over 5 days $150 Accommodation (including water, electricity, gas, kitchenware, set of towels and bed linen, free street parking, washing machine), 24/7 access to the workspace, Wi-Fi.  In the basic training residencies, there is no charge for using the studio.  After classes, residents can continue working independently 24 hours a day. If the companion wants to take the course, they pay 50% of the fee. Taller Radal is an autonomous and self-managed space. We do not receive financial aid or subsidies of any kind. Expectations towards the artist We encourage resident artists to carry out an exchange with the community through a talk, an exhibition of their production or a small workshop, but it is not mandatory.
