Collective Micro-Residency for Expanded Photography Deadline: 01 Nov 2026 Country: Argentina FotoCreativaBA is an international training space for Contemporary Photography and Combined Arts, founded in 2010. It is aimed at photographers interested in expanding their knowledge and projects, as well as professionalizing their artistic practice. We are committed to accompanying artists throughout their processes of exploration, research, and production, all the way to the presentation and circulation of their work. We achieve this through specialized coordination teams, contemporary artist groups, and close, personalized mentorship. FotoCreativaBA Artistic Residency, a member of Res Artis (Worldwide Network of Arts Residencies), is located in downtown Buenos Aires at Galería Patio del Liceo—a gallery hub home to artists, designers, and bookstores, making it the ideal environment to connect with your project. From this new space, we welcome visual artists, photographers, researchers, curators, and working groups seeking time and space to reflect, discuss, and create. Our mission is to promote and develop cultural projects related to Photography and Combined Arts, establishing a living dialogue among artists from diverse disciplines. The call for applications is open until November 1, 2026, and applications will be confirmed within 72 hours of receipt. Micro-residency period: November 30 – December 8, 2026 (inclusive) Deadline: November 1, 2026 Residency Structure Experimental workshops and artist critique sessions focused on expanded photography. Regular feedback and project mentorship. Guided tours of local galleries and key artistic spaces in the city. Weekly residency schedule and local events calendar. Documentation of the residency and the creative process, with publication on our social media networks. Open Studio event at the end of the residency. Curatorial Mentor: Natheim (Buenos Aires, 1983) is a visual artist, performer, curator, and cultural manager specialized in expanded photography and combined arts. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), trained as a Professional Creative Photographer at the Andy Goldstein School, and holds a specialization in Cultural Management for local activation from Intermediae – Matadero Madrid (Spain). She is the founder and director of FotoCreativaBA, an independent platform and gallery space in Buenos Aires affiliated with the international network Res Artis. Through this project, she designs and directs training programs, artwork clinics, and artistic residencies that connect creators globally. She has extensive experience coordinating international residencies in collaboration with institutions worldwide, highlighting her programs and partnerships with IDEA R LAB (Japan), Nongyuan Culture (Chengdu, China), Dimensions Art Center (Chongqing, China), and the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina). Her curatorial practice encompasses more than twenty solo and group exhibitions both in Argentina and abroad. She has also served as a guest curator for international events such as the Experimental Photography Festival in Barcelona (2025) and Santa Rosa Arts & Healing (Canada). As a visual artist, her work explores the body, performance, and the boundaries of the photographic medium. She has received prestigious awards, including the IILA-Photography Prize (Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome), the Argentine Documentary Photography Biennale, and has been selected as a finalist for the National Exhibition of Visual Arts (Palais de Glace, 2025), the FELIFA Prize, and the Olot Photography Grant. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and artistic research residencies in China, Japan, Spain, France, and Uruguay. Her work is complemented by the publication of several photobooks, including Lurraldeak [Territorios] (Basque Country, 2020) and ¿Qué seré? (Barcelona, 2022). Duration of residency 9 days Accommodation Accommodation is not included. However, we will help you find one.
