Talents Contemporains - Water Competition - 16th edition Prizes and Awards just added Updated: 08 October 2026 Prizes and Awards just added Talents Contemporains - Water Competition - 16th edition Updated: 08 October 2026 Organized by the François Schneider Foundation, the Contemporary Talents competition supports international artistic creation focused on the theme of water. Each year, four to seven winners receive €15,000 each. Sculpture and installation projects can also secure a production budget of up to €50,000. Winning artworks join the Foundation's collection, feature in a dedicated group exhibition at the Wattwiller Art Center, and are showcased in a bilingual publication and video portrait. Applications open annually in the fall. Who can apply: Visual artists from all around the world, regardless of nationality. Applicants should be emerging or established professionals, or graduates of an art school. Disciplines: Painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, photography, video, textile, and visual arts. Performing arts and music are excluded. Artwork Status: Existing works: Accepted for all visual disciplines. Projects to be produced: Strictly reserved for sculpture and installation proposals requiring a production budget. Theme: The proposed work or project must fundamentally relate to the theme of water. What you get: Prize: €15,000 award per winner plus up to €50,000 in production funding for sculpture/installation projects. • Exhibition: Permanent collection entry, group exhibition at Wattwiller Art Center, bilingual booklet, and video portrait.
