In partnership with New Morning, this juried exhibition aims to deepen conversations about the range of experiences that can arise around reproductive health. Proceeds from the entry fees will be distributed to the winning entries. The remaining funds will support New Morning and the venue, Good Art Co. In addition to the opportunity to have work displayed in the show, there is also opporunity to be featured in the associated catalog. Eligibility Emerging and established artists aged 18 and older, based in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and West Virginia. (*All dates below are tentative) Entry Dates: October 4 - December 31, 2026 Drop-off Dates for Accepted Work: Late February 2027 Exhibition Dates: around March 1, 2027 - April 18, 2027 Reception Date: around March 5, 2027 6pm - 9pm Pickup Dates: April 19, 2027 - April 24, 2027 If unable to arrange drop-off or pick up on these dates, selected artists should ship the piece with insurance and include a return shipping label if needed. Selection Criteria: Originality Relevance to the theme as defined by the work and the artist’s statement Craftsmanship Composition and design Juror: Dr. Kylie Fisher, Assistant Professor of Art History at Furman University Jurors will be provided with a score card based on the above criteria. Artist’s names and locations will be blind to the jurors. Accepted Media: Original 2D, 3D, Mixed Media, and written work created in the last 3 years. No video, audio, or performance-based pieces will be accepted. This may include painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, fabric/textile art, photography, and creative writing. All entries must include a brief artist’s statement up to 150 words. 2-D Pieces must be no larger than 36" in any dimension. Visual Art pieces should be ready to hang/display upon arrival. Written pieces must be no more than 500 words. Explicit imagery cannot be accepted. By entering your work in this exhibition, you agree that it can be handled by authorized staff for the duration of the exhibition. It is the artist's discretion whether an accepted work is for sale. The artist will decide the price. The hosting venue may maintain its usual accepted commission rate. Any accepted artwork that differs significantly from the digital image provided in the inital review will be disqualified. Up to 20% of the entries will be accepted in the exhibition. Up to 35% of the entries will be accepted into the catalog.
