Commission on sales is 30%--artist gets 70%. This exhibit will be LIVE at Crossroads Art Center, as well as on ONLINE on our website. --WE’VE ADDED A NEW IN-PERSON OPTION: --On designated Sundays, artists may submit work (and fill out the entry form) at the art center, noon-4pm. These works will be in the exhibition at the art center, but NOT online. The gallery does reserve the right to refuse work. The use of any AI generated images or inspiration, professional photographed images, other artist’s images, instructor’s images or photographs taken by another individual, is STRICTLY prohibited. Should we determine that an artist has violated this policy, the offending artist will NOT be eligible to participate in CAC online or gallery exhibitions for a period of two (2) years. This policy safeguards the integrity of CAC and protects the individual artist from potential copyright infringement. Crossroads Art Center assumes no legal liability for violations of copyright of another individual’s material, or intellectual property rights. 4) Photography and Prints— The gallery will accept only original work created by the artist. No reproductions or giclee prints will be accepted unless approved by Jenni Kirby, owner.  Works where the art process IS the printed process, i.e., etching, monoprint, silkscreen, lithograph, etc., or where the printed digital images is created by the artist with a computer program such as Procreate, Photoshop, etc. ARE permitted. Artists must describe the process and program(s) used in the creation of their digital image. The gallery reserves the right to refuse work if it believes these qualifiers have not been met. 5) Entering the show is an agreement. We expect the work to be delivered— Be sure the dates for this show do not conflict with any gallery obligations you already have. As soon as work is entered, it should be temporarily removed from all sales and exhibition venues. Do not submit works with overlapping dates! —————————————— Before submitting artwork, please read and be sure you thoroughly understand procedures and expectations for participating in our 2027 Gallery Members Only Shows. NOTE: We place your art on our website as part of the Online Collection (unless you submit In-Person), as well as the work being live at the gallery. What you write with your entry is what we copy/paste into the wall labels and our website. We will not make changes after the Call For Entries has ended, unless we are at fault. This is ESPECIALLY true of prices. DOUBLE CHECK everything. Submission Details about Your Art: When you set up your profile, you will need an artist statement - 200 WORD limit, first person. This is about you and your art, not the specific work being entered. We do post it on our wall labels. 1. DO NOT create a portfolio site to enter the show. 2. The way you fill out the form is how it will be shown on the labels, awards, and publicity, as well as online. Double-check spelling, prices, and measurements. 3. Prices - DO NOT TYPE IN A COMMA. ArtCall adds it automatically. We do not change prices after the call for entry has ended. You must check AGAIN after you entered the images. 4. Measurements in order - HEIGHT, Width, Depth (H x W x D). Frame measurements must be the outside dimensions. 5. Verbiage about the piece of art - The CHARACTER limit is 300, including spaces!! This is about the work, your process, your thoughts. Please double check all information. We recommend you log out and then log back in to check, or after you’ve submitted your images. Prices can change, no matter how careful you are. 2D IMAGE REQUIREMENTS: For each 2D entry, 2 images of each piece are REQUIRED: • one of the art without frame • one with frame (if it is framed). Clients ask to see the frame. If it is framed, this image MUST be included during the Call for Entries. We do have sales from the website, and clients want to know what the frame looks like! We need the image when you enter the show, not later. As soon as the work goes online, clients can see it. ---A FRAMED IMAGE IS REQUIRED, if work is framed!!! It must be included BEFORE the end of the CFE. CROP OUT BACKGROUNDS. NOTE: if the work is framed, we must have the outside measurements of the frame (H x W x D). Please do not guess. If we do not have the measurements for the art and/or the framed art, your piece will not be considered to jury. Walls and backgrounds SHOULD NOT SHOW in photos. When taking the digital image please make sure the photo is not skewed, at an angle, or crooked. Hanging art must be WIRED so it will hang with our system. No sawtooth hangers. Art that is not wired will be automatically rejected. Please use picture-hanging wire. Check the wires on the back: Are they too high so the hanger will show? Are they loose? If so, you take the risk of your art falling off the wall. We will not hang this. 3D IMAGE REQUIREMENTS: For each 3D, installation, or wearable art entry, your MUST submit 2 images: • one overall front • one detail—zoomed into a small section of interest Keep backgrounds as plain as possible. We are specilaised in a number of areas: hosting artists, film shoots, workshops, advice and expertise, training, etc. The summer residency programme are open from May to October each year. As a place for experimentation, based on sharing the process of artistic creation, we favor interdisciplinary forms that allow us to take a look at the landscape, its population, its heritage and its history. It is situated ten km east of the small town of Bengtsfors, in the province of Dalsland, South-West Sweden. Away from the energetic and often hectic art world of the cities, this residence provides a tranquil and intimate space for art and reflection. The residence is an artist-run project organized by Lina Berglund (www.linaberglund.com). RUD AIR welcomes artists from all over the world to come and spend some time in the house and its surroundings. The program is self-directed. RUD AIR simply aims to provide breathing space away from the obligations and routines of everyday life. It offers plenty of space in a calm environment enabling you to immerse yourself in your vocation and concentrate, research, experiment or simply clear your mind. Producing artwork or a final product is a possibility but not at all a requirement. Duration of residency 1 week-6 weeks Accommodation There are two apartments available, in close connection to the studio. One apartment is private with kitchen and bathroom. The other has three private bedrooms with one shared kitchen and bathroom. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance RUD AIR´s main focus is on the visual arts; painting, drawing, photography, video, installation and performance. It encourages as well interdisciplinary and cross-boundary practices. Dance, writing and research also fits well in this setting. RUD AIR emphasize on the unsure, unsecure, undefined and unexpected states of the creativity process. The working facilities are low-tech and simple. Artists bring and manage their own materials. RUD AIR has no production equipment available. Only free-standing walls to work against, desks, chairs, bookshelves. Guestartists will be presented to a number of local artists and persons, who they can contact if they want to. The residence host dont live in the house but will come to meet the visiting artists at arrival. No previous stone-carving experience is required. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of working with marble, from understanding and selecting the material to cutting, carving, shaping, grinding, and finishing. The first two weeks include approximately 40 hours of structured instruction, with mornings dedicated to working with Rasma and afternoons available for independent studio work. The third week shifts into a more independent working period, with Rasma available on a limited basis for consultation and guidance as participants develop and complete their work. The workshop begins with the material itself and the landscape it comes from. Participants will visit local working marble quarries, learn about the region’s long relationship with marble, and select their own stone from locally available marble off-cuts. These visits offer the chance to experience the landscape and material at its source before bringing selected pieces back to OBRAS to begin working. The scale of the workshop is intentionally human. Participants will work with pieces of marble they can personally handle, work on at OBRAS, and ultimately take home with them. Marble and use of the necessary carving tools are included in the workshop fee. This is more than a daytime workshop. Participants live at OBRAS for the full three weeks, staying in Casa Principal and becoming part of the residency community. Alongside the workshop, there is time for independent studio work, shared dinners, conversations with other artists in residence, and the everyday experience of living and working at OBRAS in rural Alentejo. At the end of the three weeks, participants will be invited to informally share their finished work and talk about their process and experience. Located around an hour from Tokyo and a half hour from Tsukuba City, known for hosting one of the largest accumulations of science and technology institutes in the world, ARCUS Research allows participants to come into contact with the contemporary art scene and leading research institutions, as well as devote themselves to their creative endeavors in a calm environment. The program provides participants from around the world with valuable time and space to reflect, unwind, and nurture the creative process. Expectations towards the artist Our concept is for artists to have the concentrated space and time away, to think and explore what can be achieved, and to see what can emerge when in an artistically charged space away from the day-to-day thinking of their norms. We believe there is great potential in exploring other directions with the opportunity to focus, engage and work.We have no expectations from artists because usually when in Belgrade they get totally different perspective and do something else than planned. If you have specific requests please feel free to include them in your applications. We work closely with many local curators, artists, gallery owners and collectors so this opportunity is limited by time available and might include additional costs.
