All submissions must have been created within the past two years. Submissions created before January 2025 will not be accepted. All photography done in a school, school-monitored studio or workshop, or under instructor supervision or copied from someone other than the artist applying for this show are ineligible and will be rejected. While human-controlled digital editing is entirely OK, the use of artificial intelligence to create the elements in the image is prohibited. Anything that can be done in camera or with photo editing software like Photoshop is not, by our definition, considered to be using AI in a generative manner. Images must be of the applicants own work. The final image must be essentially your own, without using recognizable faces or widely known work of others. All work must be for sale. No NFS or POR will be allowed. A 35% commission will be retained by RAL for each sale. Theme - There is no theme for this exhibition. Juror and Awards Judge: Andre Wright Jr. - First Place Award, $500. - Second Place Award, $250. - Third Place Award, $150. Registration Fee - RAL Members, twenty five dollars ($25.00). Submission Requirements (General) - Each artist may submit up to three (3) works for review. - Only online entries will be reviewed. - Original images must have been taken no earlier than January 2025. - Works must be available to be on display throughout the entire length of this exhibition. - All work must be for sale. - There are no size limitations for works entered into this call. - Works must have never been displayed at the Rehoboth Art League. Online Submission Image Requirements - Original attachment filenames are discarded, as all filenames are programatically renamed on upload. - Submission attachments must be under 4mb and a maximum of 1920px on the longest side.* - Submission attachments are permanently resized into 3 separate sizes (regardless of the original size): 100px, 1080px, maximum saved dimension setting (1920px by default) - * For image files over 4MB: Check out this instructional video that reviews how to resize an image file using both Mac and Windows operating systems. If after watching this video you are still unable to resize your file, attach the file(s) to an email directed to the Exhibitions Director with a request to resize it/them. Display Requirements - The Exhibitions Director has the right to remove any works from display whose presentation is felt to be unprofessional. This includes the type and condition of the frame, mat, and glass. - All works must be wall-hung ready, with a wire. No saw-tooth hangers are permitted. - Artists are responsible for the security of the wires placed on their works. - Artists will be asked to rewire works that the Exhibitions Director feels are unstable and for all works that have exposed wires while hanging. - In advance of delivery, Artist must alert the Exhibitions Director of works that have hanging requirements/elements other than a wire, and for any work with a frame size larger than 2400 sq. inches (I.e., larger than 60” x 40”). It is based in two former schoolhouses in Stockholm’s northern archipelago, where the forest meets the sea. The residency centres on a collective experience that embraces the idea of “thinking together, learning together”. We host the residency year‑round, opening applications for each season three months in advance and closing them as the season begins. We accept applications on a rolling basis, by email, no later than one month before your arrival. Duration of residency The shortest residency period is 2 weeks and can last up to 3 months. Accommodation We have arranged bedrooms for residents in the smaller sleep/silent house, while the larger work/party house serves as a space for both individual and group activities. Visual Arts – Sounding Like a Mountain Deadline: 18 Nov 2026 Country: Canada This residency invites visual artists to apply with projects that consider how places sing, how memory persists in vibration and how listening to the land can re-orient ethical and political relations. Drawing on concepts inherent to acoustic ecology and taking the mountains of Banff as inspiration, participants are invited to explore how sound activates multiple temporalities – shaped by land use, migration, ecological disruption, colonial infrastructures, and so on. The Earth can be thought of as a field of relations in which biological, geological and social processes co-create one another. Rob paints primarily en plein air and has a particular interest in the use of wider angle perspectives and the depiction of movement within his paintings. Born 1982, Rob Pointon has been painting since he was a child under the tutelage of his artist Grandmother, then, as an adult, graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University before going on to study at The Royal Drawing School in London. Having been a full time professional artist since 2006, Rob’s skills have developed through his work on locations all around the UK and abroad. Originally from the Staffordshire moorlands Rob is now based in South Cheshire. Rob is a full member of the ROI (Royal Institute of Oil Painters), a member of MAFA (Manchester Academy of Fine Arts), the British Plein Air Painters and the outdoor painting collective The Northern Boys. Can I edit my submissions after I've submitted them? Artcall.org requires you to select the number of submissions / applications you want to enter and to pay before entering in your image and image details. You can edit your submission details along with images you've attached up until the submission period is over. Once the submission period has ended, you cannot edit their entries in any form. Can I add more submissions after I've paid? You must submit a separate submission / application for each piece of artwork you wish to be shown to the juror. You have the option to add a second or third image of the same work to your submission / application as a detail photograph This is not required. Have the entry fees changed at all? We welcome traditional and experimental mosaics in glass, ceramic, stone, tile, and found materials, including wall-based and sculptural work. Consider themes such as reconciliation, refuge, community, environmental healing, or the everyday labor of peacemaking. We encourage approaches that foreground process: visible seams, intentional breaks, reclaimed fragments, collaborative contributions, or rhythmic patterning that suggests practice over perfection. Portraits, landscapes, abstractions, narrative scenes, symbolic works, and purely formal explorations are all welcome. Possible approaches include (but are not limited to): A landscape that represents refuge, repair, balance, or a place where conflict has quieted. These artists have stayed well beyond the one month of the standard residency option. This Open Call explores the possibility for artists, writers and architects who would like a longer residency, to work on a substantial body of work to exhibit at MERZ or to publish and – as appropriate – to be involved in a fuller film record of working and research during their stay. It is a moment that promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and consequently the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Aviário Studio Art Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the Visual Arts. Artists can develop projects using a medium or a combination of technologies. Aviário Studio is an artist-run space with workshops equipped to develop projects on Printmaking, Ceramics, Wood, Metal, Sculpture, Installation, Drawing, Painting, Photography and Bookbinding. The program is customized according to the participating artist’s goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. We offer the conditions to test possibilities and materialize ideas. If you decide to stay at Aviário Studio’s accommodations, you will be living in a shared house. The house is on the ground floor, and has one living room, an equipped kitchen, one bathroom, one toilet, three bedrooms, and outside space. There is free wi-fi at the house. All residents are responsible for their own bed-making, and for maintaining a clean and quiet house environment. We advise you to rent a car, especially if you want to enjoy what the region has to offer, because public transports here are limited or non-existent. Open call for Hakoniemi residency in Saimaa archipelago, Finland Deadline: 30 Nov 2026 Country: Finland Founded in 2019 in Oravisalo, Rääkkylä, North Karelia, Finland. Hakoniemi residency is a peaceful and inspiring working environment, located and inspired by the beautiful lake-side nature of Northern Saimaa archipelago. We would like to offer a residency place for sustainable work plans of different kinds, and an interest to the natural environment. The residence is suitable for artists, musicians, writers, artisans, designers, researchers and architects among others. We also run the Hako x Helsinki Residency in the capital. You may apply for a combined residency at both locations or choose just one. For 16 years, the farm of Hakoniemi in Oravisalo was inhabited by painter Jorma Pajarinen. His studio and a barn gallery were located in the yard of the Hakoniemi farm. Hakoniemi with its surroundings is an ideal destination for artistic work. In addition to the lake-side nature, the proximity of the Russian border and the history of the region are strongly present. The nearby Salpapolku offers a chance to get to know Finnish military history and the diverse nature of the Northern Saimaa archipelago. With the recovery of the endangered Saimaa ringed seal (Pusa hispida saimensis), there is a real possibility to spot one these chubby swimmers sun bathing on the cliffs. For the founders of Hakoniemi Residence Support Association, it is important to revive the culture, music, design and diverse art of Rääkkylä. Through the residence, the support association and artists are able to work in co-operation with the local community and companies. We want residency artists to experience the same inspiring environment of the Saimaa archipelago that has been provided to us for decades. The lakes, nature, animals, people and everyday life on the inland islands of the Northern Saimaa are the source of inspiration for artistic and creative work. Please note that there is no permanent staff living in the Hakoniemi house, so the residency is best suited for guests who are used to work and reside in self-directed environments. The location is remote, situated 15km away from the village center with no public transportation. Duration of residency 1 week – 5 months Accommodation The residence offers work space for artists and creators. The 82 square meter house has two bedrooms. Kitchen, living room, indoor sauna, bathroom and toilet facilities are all shared between the residents. The well-equipped kitchen, work space, piano, indoor sauna, bicycles, Kicksled “potkukelkka” (in the winter time) are at the guests’ disposal free of charge. There is also a private beach, lean-to shelter laavu and barbecue facilities for the residents.In the vicinity of the beach, the Quiet House offers a place for tranquility surrounded by birds and a lake. Escola Normal

An artist-run residency for creation, community and exchange – Welcome to Escola Normal! Deadline: 30 Nov 2026 Country: Portugal Set within a historic home in Porto, Portugal, it is a place where people live together, make things together and occasionally reinvent their lives over coffee in the kitchen. We welcome artists from all disciplines and at all stages of their practice: musicians, dancers, writers, photographers, filmmakers, visual artists, performers, textile practitioners and those whose work resists definition. Some arrive with a clear project in mind; others arrive with unfinished ideas, creative blocks or the desire to experiment without the pressure of immediate results. Life at Escola Normal unfolds through shared meals, late-night conversations, rehearsals, walks to concerts, spontaneous collaborations and time spent alone with one’s work. Residents have access to music, photography, visual arts and sewing studios, as well as presentation spaces and the cultural programme of the house. There are no mandatory outcomes. We do not believe every residency should end with a polished product. Sometimes the most important thing an artist takes away is a new question, an unexpected encounter or the feeling of having found time to listen to their own voice again. The rhythm of each residency is shaped together, according to the needs of the artist and the possibilities of the house. Accommodation Artists stay in a private bedroom within the Escola Normal residency house. The room is equipped with two double beds and residents have access to shared bathrooms, a communal kitchen, dining and living areas, laundry facilities, a garden and a vegetable garden. The accommodation is fully integrated into the residency environment, allowing artists to live and work in the same space throughout their stay. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Escola Normal welcomes artists from all disciplines, including music, visual arts, photography, film, performance, writing, textile practices, design and interdisciplinary projects.Residents have access to shared workspaces within the house, including a pStudio / Workspace Residents have access to a range of shared workspaces within the Escola Normal house. Textile Center (Ós Residency)

Residencies for textile artists and scholars in Iceland – open call Deadline: 30 Nov 2026 Country: Iceland Ós residency at the Textile Center in Blönduós, Iceland, seeks to promote an atmosphere of creativity, experimentation and reflection for artists and scholars working inside the textile field. We accept submissions from emerging, mid-career, and senior level artists and scholars all year round (open call). The residency is situated in a historic building and former Women’s College in Blönduós, northwest Iceland. The residency can accommodate 8-14 artists every month. Each resident is provided with his/her own bedroom equipped with a small desk and scenic view, access to studio facilities and open plan work space in the communal studio. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. We also offer a Tc2 residency and private accommodation for groups (4 max.) or individual artists in two houses next door. Since 2021, artists in residence also have access to the Textile Center’s TextileLab (not included in the residency fee!). Depending on availability (sign up on site), artists can work with equipment including a Tc2 sample loom, felt loom, tufting guns, digital knitting machine, digital sewing machine, laser cutter and printer. Artists in residence also have access to the Textile Museum in Blönduós. In walking distance, there is a great gym and heated outdoor pool. Since it first opened in 2013, the residency has hosted many textile artists and scholars from all around the world. Since 2017, residents are featured in our annual Ós Residency Catalog. The Textile Center does not offer or facilitate exhibitions on a regular basis, but artists in residence are welcome to initiate open houses, group or solo exhibitions.
