Urban Arts Residency / Febrero-Junio 2027 Deadline: 09 Sep 2026 Country: Mexico We are a Not for Profit Organization which has been created in November 2014 to support art projects and artists working on projects with social impact. We offer artists the opportunity to be part of our art residency in Downtown Guadalajara, Colonia Americana (Mexico). We can host up to 4 artists. We give priority to artists working on social topics, such as gentrification, immigration, equality, social justice, poverty, homeless people, gender rights…Nevertheless, this is not a binding criteria. If you have a solid project and you would like to come, please feel free to apply. At the end of their stay, artists usually have an exhibit/event in our space to show the result of their work. ABOUT THE CITY AND SPACE Guadalajara is the second biggest city in Mexico (8 millions people) a growing city with a touch of tradition. It has a great climate, mild-hot during the day – cool and fresh at night most of the year and it surrounded by beautiful nature to visit. The residency is surrounded by a vivid community, full of artists and craftsmen, close to galleries, historic buildings as much as bars and restaurants. All it is walking distance. We are a small and independent residency but we try to support the artists the best we can, mainly in logistics, and in the communication of their event. Lately, we are creating brotherhood with several local art organizations and organizing events in their spaces as well. CLIMATE: Guadalajara is 1,600 meters on the level of the sea, therefore its climate is generally dry and warm. Temperatures are averagely around 25º/30ªC during the day and at night 10-20ºC. Duration of residency One month minimum up to  to six months. We usually suggest, if possible, to come at least 2 months to have a full experience/inspiration. Accommodation The residency is in an old colonial house completely renewed in Downtown Guadalajara.The house can host up to 4 artists in residency (living and studio). We offer 3 spaces to work and live. SPACE A It has two rooms (one bedroom and one studio) and can be for a duo artists or it can host artists with particular needs that require to have studio and bedroom separated. Each of the other two spaces (SPACE B and C) is one solo space where the artist work and live at the same time.We also have a big central patio and the living/dining room in case artists need a bigger space to work. Each space is full of natural light. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Street Art, Visual Art, Literature, Photography, Architecture, Sculpture, Curator, Filmmaker, Research, Textile work, Performance, Sound Installation, Performances, Multimedia installationsStudio / Workspace Space A:One bedroom (5×3 meters) with double bed + studio (4×4 meters) for one artist or duo. This space can host artists who need separate spaces (sleeping and working). Space B and C : One spacious bedroom/studio (5 x 6 meters) These two spaces are suitable for artists working in media that do not require a separation between studio and sleeping area. Each place is fully equipped with basic furniture to offer the artist the chance to be inspired and work freely.Fees and support Each of the three spaces (A and B and C) cost 550 EUR per month (or correspondent in MXN or USD) .We cover all general services (electricity, gas, internet, water) and we support the artist in logistics, in the communication of their final event and give tips about galleries and event to attend during the residency. If you are willing to stay  for 2 months  and you are willing to stay in any of the 3 studios, we are offering a 50 EUR discount on the total cost. If you are willing to stay  for 3 months  and you are willing to stay in any of the 3 studios, we are offering a 100 EUR discount on the total cost.   The artists have access to the kitchen which is fully equipped.NOTE: In case you are applying as a duo, we will give you studio A. Please specify it in your application. For duo artists, we will apply an extra fee of 150 EUR per month (or correspondent in MXN or USD). It is a moment that promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and consequently the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Aviário Studio Ceramic Figure Sculpting Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the field of figure sculpting in clay. The program is customized according to the artist’s goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. We offer the conditions to test possibilities and materialize ideas. On one hand, it can be a moment of transition, more connected to experimentation, research and learning new techniques; or it can be the point of consolidation of a project translated into the production of a new body of work. Please note that ceramics residencies have to be at least 3 weeks. Accommodation You are free to decide if you want to stay at Aviário Studio’s accommodations or search for a place on your own. If you decide to stay at Aviário Studio’s accommodations, you will be living in a shared house. The house is on the ground floor, and has one living room, an equipped kitchen, one bathroom, one toilet, three bedrooms, and outside space. There is free wi-fi at the house. All residents are responsible for their own bed-making, and for maintaining a clean and quiet house environment. MacDowell Call for Applications: Spring Summer 2027 Deadline: 10 Sep 2026 Country: United States Established in 1907, MacDowell is a renowned artist residency program located in Peterborough, NH, offering a rural, serene, supportive environment for creative work. The residency promotes artistic freedom and encourages participation from a diverse range of artistic disciplines and voices. Artists are eligible to apply to MacDowell if they are generating original works of art, are at least 21 years of age and are not currently enrolled in a degree program (with the exception of ABD students). Applications are completed online and can be found through MacDowell’s website. A complete application includes general information forms, a project proposal with work samples that demonstrate experience within the same discipline and genre as the proposed project, as well as five artistic achievements relevant to the applicants’ artistic career. Applications for residencies from March 1 – August 31, 2027 will open on August 15, 2026. The deadline for accepting applications will be September 10, 2026. The intensive will be led by artistic directors James Wilton and Sarah Jane Taylor. What you will learn: Each day begins with a technique class learning our floorwork technique. Learn to move with athleticism and power whilst retaining a sense of expansiveness, breath and quality. You will upskill with new tricks and flips, but more importantly you’ll learn how to integrate these seamlessly into choreography. After this you’ll learn a new phrase from our 2027 work LOKI. Tribal, primordial and energetic, the phrase will tap into our ancestral bodies, leading you to be part animal, part human and part Norse god. The afternoon concludes with duet based research. Working with a partner you’ll learn our martial arts inspired contact work that focuses on remaining strong yet mobile, fluid but powerful. We will be auditioning for LOKI Autumn 2026. Click on “Membership Sign-up” and follow the directions. - All submitted 2D and 3D artwork must: (1) be original, (2) have been produced within the last two years from the entry deadline, and (3) not exhibited in any previous RGAA-sponsored show. - All submitted artwork must be for sale. Accepted artwork shall be exhibited until the end of the show, Sunday, November 29, 2026, 6 pm, unless special arrangements are made with the Show Chair ahead of time. - At least 80% of the artwork surface or form must be hand worked. Artworks produced on any substrate with pre-embossed or pre-printed images are ineligible. 2D artworks may have relief elements not to extend or recede more than 1.5 inches beyond the artwork surface. - Submitted artwork shall not violate copyright law. All artwork entered must be original in concept and executed solely by the entering artist. Works produced from copyrighted materials (i.e., published materials, photographs, or other artworks) are ineligible. Artwork done under the guidance of an instructor is ineligible for entry. - The artist retains the copyright for his/her image(s). However, by submitting to this show, the artist agrees to RGAA’s use of the images for publicity, promotion, and archival purposes. - Once submitted, an artwork must not have been altered and must be gallery-ready (e.g., fully dry paintings) for display at time of delivery. - Volunteering on show committee or hosting (“sitting”) the show at the venue is required for all artists who have artwork, accepted unless they live farther than 50 miles from ExpoNM. Artists who do not meet the distance requirement, nor are available to volunteer or host (“sit”) the show may do a buy out for $40. - All artwork must have professional presentation. No name plaques may be attached. 2D artwork must be suitably framed or gallery wrapped and ready to hang with D-rings and picture hanging wire (hanging wire must peak at 3.5” from the top edge of the work). Saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. Gallery-wrapped canvases must be a minimum depth of 1.5” and painted on all four sides. 3D artwork will be appropriately presented as either a floor display or on pedestals provided. Standard 2D Artwork Category Standard 2D artwork shall be wall hung work professionally framed not under glass. Only Pastel artwork may be framed under glass. The maximum size for unframed 2D artwork is 50” by 72”. The minimum size for unframed 2D artwork is 108 square inches (width x height), which is equivalent to a 9” x 12” panel. Maximum frame width is 4”. For example, a framed 9” x 12” panel may not exceed 17” x 20”. Gallery wrapped painting edges must be painted and look professional. The minimum sales price for standard 2D artwork is $250 Small 2D Artwork Category Small 2D artwork shall be wall hung work. The maximum size for unframed 2D artwork is 80 square inches (width x height), which is equivalent to an 8” x 10” panel. Up to 1.5” depth allowed on gallery wrapped and painted wood artist panels. Edges must be painted or finished on non-framed panels and gallery wrapped small 2D artwork. There is no minimum size. Maximum frame width is 3”. For example, a framed 8” x 10” panel may not exceed 14” x 16”. The minimum sales price for Small 2D Artwork is $125 3D Artwork Category 3D artwork shall be displayed on the floor or a pedestal. Wall displayed 3D artwork will not be accepted. The maximum size for 3D work displayed on a pedestal, not including pedestal, stand, or other display structure, is 24” base and 36” height although we may choose to display some works on the floor for safety or visibility. Works on a pedestal should be protected against breakage. There is no minimum size. The maximum size for floor displayed 3D artwork, including pedestal, stand, or other display structure, is 36” x 36” base, 5’ tall, and 50 lbs. There is no minimum size. If a 3D work is a mobile, size must be Maximum 36” diameter, 30” high and weigh less than 5 lbs. Pedestals will be provided by RGAA for all 3D works where needed. Minimum sales price for all 3D artwork is $125. Artists submitting to the show must have paid RGAA member dues through November 30, 2026, or greater. Each artist must submit high quality images for selection into the show through the online entry form at rgaanm.org. Each artist may enter up to nine images: (1) three images into the Standard 2D Artwork Category; (2) three images into the Small 2D Artwork Category; (3) and three images into the 3D Artwork Category. Entry fees for 2D works are $15 per image and $15 per 3D image. For more information, see the RGAA Jurying and Judging Best Practices. All entries must be submitted through the entry application, ArtCall.org. To enter logon the RGAA website, rgaanm.org, with your RGAA member username and password, click the ENTER ¡ENCANTADA! 2026 button for member access to the show entry webpage, and follow the entry instructions. ArtCall requires a unique username and password (not your RGAA member logon info). If you already have a username and password from previous RGAA show entries, use those. If you are new to ArtCall, you will be prompted to create logon information. NOTE: There are separate entry categories: Standard 2D Artwork, Small 2D Artwork, and 3D Artwork. All entry fees must be paid online through ArtCall. NOTE: You will be charged $15 after each entry vs. a total amount after completion. Entry fees are non-refundable. - Crop images to show only the artwork. No frames, stands, pedestals, or background please. - File format is JPEG. - File size per image should be 300 DPI, no more than 10MB, and a maximum of >4600 pixels on the LONGEST side. - File name is the artwork title with appropriate spaces, not to exceed 45 characters in total. Please count as the title needs to fit on the wall labels. RGAA shall handle all sales of exhibited artworks and collect all associated payments from buyers, including New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax. RGAA will retain 30% of sales revenue, based on the sales price of the artwork sold. The RGAA Treasurer will send payment for sold artwork, based on 70% of the sales price, to the artist within 14 days of the closing of the exhibition. Artistic Research Residency and Grant for a Project Related to the Archives of International Organisations in Geneva Deadline: 15 Sep 2026 Country: Switzerland The Embassy of Foreign Artists residency programme is partnering with the Centre for Digital Humanities and Multilateralism at the Geneva Graduate Institute to offer a three-month artist residency to conduct archival research in the heart of international organisations based in Geneva, Switzerland. The archives of international organisations in Geneva form part of humanity’s collective memory. While these fragments constitute a formal record comprising reports, official correspondence, international agreements, speeches, and documentary images of a select few, they nonetheless contain the narratives of millions of human stories. Multilateral histories can also be discerned through handwritten notes, draft reports, unofficial maps, artworks, informal sound recordings, and absences. Seen through the eyes of artists and researchers, this residency aims to transform this material and give it a new dimension. Applicants are invited to propose projects that develop novel perspectives on topics such as: (un)told human stories; intergovernmental decision making processes; multilateral successes and failures; and reimagined visions for the future of international cooperation. Applications must relate to projects that use the archives of Geneva-based international intergovernmental or non-governmental organisations as their primary resource (such as UN Archives Geneva, the International Committee of the Red Cross Archives, etc.). Projects may, however, have links with other organisations based in Geneva and elsewhere. Duration of residency 3 months (depending on the sessions offered). The exact start date of the residency in 2027 is subject to an agreement between the artist’s preferred date and the EOFA’s availability. Residencias de otoño en Casa Garcés Deadline: 15 Sep 2026 Country: Spain Esta convocatoria tiene por objetivo invitar a creador@s de diferentes disciplinas (artistas y colectivos de arquitectura, artes escénicas, visuales, literatura y música) a presentar sus proyectos para realizar una residencia artística en el Centro de Creación Artística Casa Garcés (CCA Casa Garcés, en adelante) entre el 1 de octubre y el 30 de noviembre de 2026. Dirigida a artistas de cualquier nacionalidad y sin límite de edad, que puedan trasladarse de dos semanas a dos meses al prepirineo oscense (Canal de Berdún-Huesca-España). La propuesta puede implicar a una persona o a un colectivo, siendo el máximo cuatro proyectos a coincidir simultáneamente. Imprescindible un nivel de español que permita la comunicación fluida. CCA Casa Garcés ofrece: • El uso de los espacios de trabajo: taller, sala de ensayos y estudios individualizados. • El acompañamiento en el proceso creativo y en su producción. The competition invites digitally created works in two main categories: Graphics, including digital graphics, digital painting, digital collage and digital drawing, and Video, including videos and animations. Its stated aim is to present the most interesting submitted works through post-competition exhibitions and to select award-winning artists. “THE ONE” is positioned as a platform for contemporary digital art that addresses urgent environmental questions through image, motion and animation. By focusing on the uniqueness of Earth and the consequences of civilization’s progress, the biennial encourages artists to turn digital practice into a space for public discussion about the planet’s future. La Porte Peinte Open Call May 2027 Deadline: 15 Sep 2026 Country: France La Porte Peinte is an international arts centre located in Noyers sur Serein, a medieval village in Burgundy that is celebrated as one of the 100 most beautiful villages in France. Nestled within an elegant curve of the Serein river, the medieval cité of Noyers sur Serein sits in a pastoral northern Burgundy landscape of cherry trees, wheat fields, rolling meadows, forests and world-renowned vineyards. Deer, wild boar, pheasants and foxes roam the countryside, which is dotted with storied châteaux, quaint market towns and centuries-old stone abbeys. The UNESCO heritage site Vezelay is 30 minutes away. Based in a rambling medieval half-timbered building that leans out over the village square like something from a fairy tale, La Porte Peinte offers artists, makers, musicians and writers in residence the opportunity to engage in creative exploration and exchange in an unusually inspiring and supportive environment. Doors opened in September 2011 with the first artists in residence and the launch of the 160 m2 ground-floor gallery, followed later by the opening of a café and a shop. La Porte Peinte’s five comfortable bedrooms are supplemented by four bedrooms in a nearby annex, another imposing and atmospheric medieval house. There are nine private studio spaces, along with workshop spaces and event spaces that are available for classes and performances. Along with residency accommodation, each creator in residence chooses their private studio space from among those available. We welcome artists, performers, writers, musicians, filmmakers, photographers, and creative thinkers. Collaborative groups and partnerships are welcome to apply. While most residencies are artist-funded, we also offer a limited number of fully and partially funded residencies. We offer occasional themed and partnership residencies, and we are delighted to offer family residencies during specific periods. Our self-directed & self-funded program is open to artists, musicians, performers, writers, and researchers of all backgrounds to focus on their work in a remote location with opportunities for artistic and cultural exchange. Length of stay: 1-3 months. Duration of residency Stays are 1-3 months in Sept, Oct, and/or November. Accommodation Each artist has a private bedroom in a house with fellow residents sharing kitchen, bathrooms, and common areas. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Artists working in any field, from any background can apply for a residency at Nes, although we currently have no kiln access, and prohibit materials with inhalation risk in our shared studio space, such as turpentine and powdered pigments.
