Standard 2D Artwork Category: $1000 first place; $700 second place; and $500 third place. Several cash merit awards will also be given in all categories. RGAA membership is required for entry into ¡Encantada! 2026. Dues must be paid in full before submitting to the call for entry and remain current throughout the show (through November 30, 2026, or greater). Mailed checks will not be accepted. - Must be 18 or older and a member of RGAA. Paid membership is required through November 30, 2026, or greater. Click on “Membership Sign-up” and follow the directions. - All submitted 2D and 3D artwork must: (1) be original, (2) have been produced within the last two years from the entry deadline, and (3) not exhibited in any previous RGAA-sponsored show. - All submitted artwork must be for sale. Accepted artwork shall be exhibited until the end of the show, Sunday, November 29, 2026, 6 pm, unless special arrangements are made with the Show Chair ahead of time. - At least 80% of the artwork surface or form must be hand worked. Artworks produced on any substrate with pre-embossed or pre-printed images are ineligible. 2D artworks may have relief elements not to extend or recede more than 1.5 inches beyond the artwork surface. - Submitted artwork shall not violate copyright law. All artwork entered must be original in concept and executed solely by the entering artist. Works produced from copyrighted materials (i.e., published materials, photographs, or other artworks) are ineligible. Artwork done under the guidance of an instructor is ineligible for entry. - The artist retains the copyright for his/her image(s). However, by submitting to this show, the artist agrees to RGAA’s use of the images for publicity, promotion, and archival purposes. - Once submitted, an artwork must not have been altered and must be gallery-ready (e.g., fully dry paintings) for display at time of delivery. - Volunteering on show committee or hosting (“sitting”) the show at the venue is required for all artists who have artwork, accepted unless they live farther than 50 miles from ExpoNM. Artists who do not meet the distance requirement, nor are available to volunteer or host (“sit”) the show may do a buy out for $40. - All artwork must have professional presentation. No name plaques may be attached. 2D artwork must be suitably framed or gallery wrapped and ready to hang with D-rings and picture hanging wire (hanging wire must peak at 3.5” from the top edge of the work). Saw-tooth hangers will not be accepted. Gallery-wrapped canvases must be a minimum depth of 1.5” and painted on all four sides. 3D artwork will be appropriately presented as either a floor display or on pedestals provided. Standard 2D Artwork Category Standard 2D artwork shall be wall hung work professionally framed not under glass. Only Pastel artwork may be framed under glass. The maximum size for unframed 2D artwork is 50” by 72”. The minimum size for unframed 2D artwork is 108 square inches (width x height), which is equivalent to a 9” x 12” panel. Maximum frame width is 4”. For example, a framed 9” x 12” panel may not exceed 17” x 20”. Gallery wrapped painting edges must be painted and look professional. The minimum sales price for standard 2D artwork is $250 Small 2D Artwork Category Small 2D artwork shall be wall hung work. The maximum size for unframed 2D artwork is 80 square inches (width x height), which is equivalent to an 8” x 10” panel. Up to 1.5” depth allowed on gallery wrapped and painted wood artist panels. Edges must be painted or finished on non-framed panels and gallery wrapped small 2D artwork. There is no minimum size. Maximum frame width is 3”. For example, a framed 8” x 10” panel may not exceed 14” x 16”. The minimum sales price for Small 2D Artwork is $125 3D Artwork Category 3D artwork shall be displayed on the floor or a pedestal. Wall displayed 3D artwork will not be accepted. The maximum size for 3D work displayed on a pedestal, not including pedestal, stand, or other display structure, is 24” base and 36” height although we may choose to display some works on the floor for safety or visibility. Works on a pedestal should be protected against breakage. There is no minimum size. The maximum size for floor displayed 3D artwork, including pedestal, stand, or other display structure, is 36” x 36” base, 5’ tall, and 50 lbs. There is no minimum size. If a 3D work is a mobile, size must be Maximum 36” diameter, 30” high and weigh less than 5 lbs. Pedestals will be provided by RGAA for all 3D works where needed. Minimum sales price for all 3D artwork is $125. Artists submitting to the show must have paid RGAA member dues through November 30, 2026, or greater. Each artist must submit high quality images for selection into the show through the online entry form at rgaanm.org. Each artist may enter up to nine images: (1) three images into the Standard 2D Artwork Category; (2) three images into the Small 2D Artwork Category; (3) and three images into the 3D Artwork Category. Entry fees for 2D works are $15 per image and $15 per 3D image. For more information, see the RGAA Jurying and Judging Best Practices. All entries must be submitted through the entry application, ArtCall.org. To enter logon the RGAA website, rgaanm.org, with your RGAA member username and password, click the ENTER ¡ENCANTADA! 2026 button for member access to the show entry webpage, and follow the entry instructions. ArtCall requires a unique username and password (not your RGAA member logon info). If you already have a username and password from previous RGAA show entries, use those. If you are new to ArtCall, you will be prompted to create logon information. NOTE: There are separate entry categories: Standard 2D Artwork, Small 2D Artwork, and 3D Artwork. All entry fees must be paid online through ArtCall. NOTE: You will be charged $15 after each entry vs. a total amount after completion. Entry fees are non-refundable. - Crop images to show only the artwork. No frames, stands, pedestals, or background please. - File format is JPEG. - File size per image should be 300 DPI, no more than 10MB, and a maximum of >4600 pixels on the LONGEST side. - File name is the artwork title with appropriate spaces, not to exceed 45 characters in total. Please count as the title needs to fit on the wall labels. An email from ArtCall.org will be sent with either an acceptance or rejection letter to every artist entering the show for each artwork entered. Accepted artwork will be hand-delivered to Expo New Mexico Hispanic Arts Gallery on Sunday, November 1, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm. For shipped artwork, please contact the ¡ENCANTADA! Show Chair at showchair@rgaanm.org for instructions. - The artwork images submitted through the entry application must exactly match the respective delivered artwork. Any artist delivering a substitute for the original submission will be disqualified from exhibiting all his/her artwork in the current ¡ENCANTADA! exhibition and the following two ¡ENCANTADA! exhibitions. - All Accepted artwork must have the PRINTED Label from ArtCall when delivered. RGAA shall handle all sales of exhibited artworks and collect all associated payments from buyers, including New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax. RGAA will retain 30% of sales revenue, based on the sales price of the artwork sold. The RGAA Treasurer will send payment for sold artwork, based on 70% of the sales price, to the artist within 14 days of the closing of the exhibition. All sold artwork will be on display until the end of the show unless special arrangements are made with the Show Chair. Buyers should pick up purchased artworks on pick-up days, November 29, 4 - 6 pm and November 30, 11 am – 1 pm. Buyers may take purchased artwork at point of sale during the exhibition if they do not live in the local area or have a mitigating conflict. - If sold artwork is not picked up in person at the end of the show, buyers will pay all packing and shipping charges, insurance costs, and handling expenses incurred for the sale. Any artist who presells artwork that has been accepted into the show, but not yet delivered, agrees to donate 30% of the sales price to RGAA. The artwork must still be exhibited in the show with a red dot and allowed to receive awards. Any artist selling an exhibited artwork without complying with RGAA’s terms of artwork sales will be disqualified from exhibiting all his/her artwork in the current ¡ENCANTADA! exhibition and the following two ¡ENCANTADA! The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. Albee Foundation exists to serve writers and visual artists from all walks of life, by providing time and space in which to work without disturbance. Using only talent and need as the criteria for selection, the Foundation invites any and all artists to apply. The Center is open almost year-round and can accommodate comfortably up to four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar-month periods (with rare, pre-approved exceptions). The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need, and there is no cost to apply or to stay with us. Writers and visual artists are offered individual en-suite bedrooms and separate working studios. Where: London, England When: November 2nd-21st, 2026 Deadline for applications: September 15, 2026 2 distinct Jack Cole training programs, each geared toward professional dancers with individualized goals tailored to the dancers’ personal experience with the Jack Cole method, will run from November 2nd – 21st. Run by Artistic Director Cam Loeser and The NEW Jack Cole Dancers, this dynamic, integrative training experience offers professional artists the opportunity to engage deeply with Jack Cole’s kinesthetic approach to movement, exploring its connection to the cultural roots of jazz while cultivating greater technical clarity and embodied awareness. Participants will also train in contemporary and commercial jazz styles, examining how Cole’s legacy continues to inform and shape today’s movement vocabulary. For 9 consecutive days, participants will be immersed in a mindful, research-driven creative environment. By bridging historical practice with contemporary application, this program positions Cole’s work not just as an archival study, but as a living and evolving artistic language. Dancers will investigate how the principles underlying Cole’s technique and style can be synthesized into their own creative practice and expand their versatility, mind-body connection, and artistic expression. Artistic Research Residency and Grant for a Project Related to the Archives of International Organisations in Geneva Deadline: 15 Sep 2026 Country: Switzerland The Embassy of Foreign Artists residency programme is partnering with the Centre for Digital Humanities and Multilateralism at the Geneva Graduate Institute to offer a three-month artist residency to conduct archival research in the heart of international organisations based in Geneva, Switzerland. The archives of international organisations in Geneva form part of humanity’s collective memory. While these fragments constitute a formal record comprising reports, official correspondence, international agreements, speeches, and documentary images of a select few, they nonetheless contain the narratives of millions of human stories. Multilateral histories can also be discerned through handwritten notes, draft reports, unofficial maps, artworks, informal sound recordings, and absences. Seen through the eyes of artists and researchers, this residency aims to transform this material and give it a new dimension. Applicants are invited to propose projects that develop novel perspectives on topics such as: (un)told human stories; intergovernmental decision making processes; multilateral successes and failures; and reimagined visions for the future of international cooperation. Applications must relate to projects that use the archives of Geneva-based international intergovernmental or non-governmental organisations as their primary resource (such as UN Archives Geneva, the International Committee of the Red Cross Archives, etc.). Projects may, however, have links with other organisations based in Geneva and elsewhere. Duration of residency 3 months (depending on the sessions offered). Nestled within an elegant curve of the Serein river, the medieval cité of Noyers sur Serein sits in a pastoral northern Burgundy landscape of cherry trees, wheat fields, rolling meadows, forests and world-renowned vineyards. Deer, wild boar, pheasants and foxes roam the countryside, which is dotted with storied châteaux, quaint market towns and centuries-old stone abbeys. The UNESCO heritage site Vezelay is 30 minutes away. Based in a rambling medieval half-timbered building that leans out over the village square like something from a fairy tale, La Porte Peinte offers artists, makers, musicians and writers in residence the opportunity to engage in creative exploration and exchange in an unusually inspiring and supportive environment. Doors opened in September 2011 with the first artists in residence and the launch of the 160 m2 ground-floor gallery, followed later by the opening of a café and a shop. Women Artists Call Post date 14/09/2026 Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt is a comprehensive programme devoted to the professionalisation of women in the arts. A one-year postgraduate course conveys the specific professional skills and information that are needed to cope with the complex demands of independent artistic activity. The goal is for each participant to develop her own perspective as she goes about knowledgably and self-confidently shaping her career in the fine arts. The objective of the Goldrausch project for women artists is to support participants in successful career activities. The point of departure, therefore, is the participants’ own artistic work, and the objective is pursued through a combination of acquiring specific knowledge, effectively presenting work to the public, and engaging in focused discussions and networking. By passing on important career information, the Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt seeks to open up the areas of activity available to women artists, starting from existing problem areas: women artists and their achievements are still underrepresented in the public sphere. Despite their disproportionately high numbers in educational programmes, women artists continue to be conspicuously in the minority when it comes to the leading exhibitions, prizes and academic appointments. Moreover, ongoing training in this evolving professional field is indispensable when it comes to the ability to earn a living from one’s artistic work. An independent postgraduate programme Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt is designed for women artists who have completed their formal education and already have some degree of professional experience. Participants are expected to demonstrate artistic competence and be ready for intensive involvement in a subject of their choice. The assumption is that artist-participants want to acquire additional practical skills that will enable them to communicate effectively about their work (a task increasingly incumbent upon artists themselves) and to deal with traditional areas that freelancers are also responsible for, such as tax and copyright law, insurance, time management, and financial planning. In a collaborative process with course participants, the Goldrausch project for women artists creates a reliable network that facilitates both practical mutual support and theoretical exchange, a network that often endures even after the course has ended. This shared self-determined forum structurally expands the artists’ individual fields of activity. Participants Each year, the Goldrausch professionalisation programme accepts 15 artists for the course. Participants are selected by a jury, which is comprised of a different group of art scholars, art critics and artists each year. To be considered, applicants must have a diploma in the arts or, in the case of self-taught artists, demonstrate equivalent practical experience. The selection criteria include the applicant’s high level of artistic work as well as an indication that the programme will meaningfully enhance her career. Sponsoring organisation and funding The Goldrausch project for women artists has been operated by Goldrausch Frauennetzwerk Berlin e.V. since 1989. The objective of this non-profit association, founded in 1982, is to assist women in setting up their own businesses and to fund activities relevant to women’s rights. Professional knowledge in the field of fine arts The Goldrausch project for women artists responds to the individual needs of the participants. The coursework treats both practical and theoretical topics, always dovetailing with the actual artistic work of the participants, who have a say in its content. Self-directed learning, teamwork, and responsibility for the work’s results are integral components of the course. A focus on practical applications and ongoing evaluation of the participants’ own positions and the steps involved in carrying out their work are the basic methods used in the course. The course combines practical exercises in the promotion of artistic work with seminars on other aspects of career- and self-management. Through insights into the mechanisms of the art market, the media and cultural institutions, the rules of the game operative in this multifaceted arena become more transparent. Tools and processes from fields outside the arts also enter into the discussions. The process of creating a representative ‘showcase’ of artistic work generates not only greater visibility but also greater clarity in the work’s presentation. Course participants develop and produce presentations in a variety of media (websites, printed material, etc.). Basic multimedia skills needed to conceive and manage the production process are conveyed and deepened in seminars conducted by expert guest consultants. The annual final exhibition, now well established in public awareness, represents another level in the systematic networking of the artists’ work. The programme offers practically oriented courses covering public relations, artists’ talks and documentation in tandem with the exhibition. GUEST CURATOR:  Jill Kerttulla Jill Kerttula’s fiber art is the culmination of her years of professional art experience, combined with her avocations of sewing and photography. Kerttula was a professional graphic designer and art director; she taught college level art and design classes; as an art major, she specialized in printmaking; and she spent several years on the art fair circuit selling wearable art. In 2018, Kerttula was one of two international artists chosen to present a solo show as a ‘Rising Star’ at the International Quilt Festival in Houston Texas. She had solo shows at the Rocky Mountain Museum of Quilts and at the Visions Museum of Textile Art. In 2019, and again for 2021, she was juried into the prestigious international Quilt National biennial show. In 2021 She won the Janome Award for "Innovation in Artistry" at the Houston International Quilt Show and the International Quilt Museum's  "Award of Excellence" at the Quilt National biennial show. Her art was most recently shown in the Taiwan Quilt Art Society and Art Quilt Elements at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA.

We connect the creatives of the world with the rich culture and beauty of Morocco through artist residencies in an ancient city on the edge of the Mediterranean.
