All original 2D or 3D work under 11 inches in all directions (including the frame and display!) and following exhibition guidelines will be considered. MFA exhibitions are blind juried by professional and credentialed art experts. Works selected by the juror will be exhibited in MFA’s Circle Gallery from November 25 – December 22, 2026. Abby Daggett is the Gallery Director and Marketing Director at Maine Art Hill, one of New England's premier fine art galleries representing more than 40 contemporary painters and sculptors. Over the past eight years, she has played an integral role in the gallery's growth, overseeing marketing strategy, exhibitions, artist promotion, and collector engagement while helping connect artists with audiences from around the world. Abby's background spans both the commercial gallery and museum sectors. Prior to joining Maine Art Hill, she worked in galleries and museums in Boston and held positions abroad, including an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice and roles supporting international study abroad programs in Italy and Ireland. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Art History from Northeastern University and a Master's degree in Art Management from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Florence and Rome, Italy. Works that exceed the 11” limit are not acceptable and are not elligible for entry. Ensure frames are 11” or smaller prior to submitting. - Artists will retain 70% from sales (75% for MFA Members). MFA will retain 30% commission on any work sold through MFA (25% for MFA Members at the time of the sale). - Work must be for sale. Work may be set to Price on Request (POR). What is a submission? One submission or application on artcall.org is the equivalent of one entry on MFA’s old entry system, or one piece submitted for jurying. Artcall.org uses the terms submission and application interchangeably. How do I enter a video submission? When submitting a video, you must put the link to the video in the Linked Web Resource field, and you must upload a screenshot of the video as an attachment. Can I edit my submissions after I've submitted them? Artcall.org requires you to select the number of submissions / applications you want to enter and to pay before entering in your image and image details. You can edit your submission details along with images you've attached up until the submission period is over. Once the submission period has ended, you cannot edit their entries in any form. Can I add more submissions after I've paid? You must submit a separate submission / application for each piece of artwork you wish to be shown to the juror. You have the option to add a second or third image of the same work to your submission / application as a detail photograph This is not required. Have the entry fees changed at all? Early bird call for Spring Retreat 2027 – ARiR Guiniguada, Gran Canaria Deadline: 01 Oct 2026 Country: Spain Artist and Researcher in Residence programme, runs since 2019 in the Guiniguada valley of Gran Canaria, in the northern foothills, a long inhabited fertile area, not the touristic south. Separate studios, several terraces, shared kitchen and bathrooms. The house is our home, where we welcome you, we are present during the programme and support your projects. We are on an experimental life project trying to be less a consumer and work together with nature to a desired extent. Natural setting of the warm-loving forest zone, also ongoing agricultural activity. Rural as being part of a village, but very close to the capital city of Las Palmas or the town of Santa Brígida, thus well connected also via roads and public transport. Duration of residency Minimum stay 4 weeks (whole period). Accommodation The house is an ‘organic’ type – this means by local standards it had been used first as a series of caves, since unkown times, and the previous owners enlarged it step by step in the directions where the rocky hillside has permitted. The residency area starts above our apartment; consisting of five rooms. Each room is separate, they do not open from each other. A shared kitchen and various terraces are at your disposal, and there are two shared bathrooms. 2026 – Artist Residency Program – Casa de Mono Deadline: 01 Oct 2026 Country: Colombia Presentation Following the principles of our Foundation, an NGO whose activities are based on ecosophical knowledge, this Artist Residency Program is conceived as an interchange platform between the artists-in-residency projects and the different practices that take place in the Foundation’s house, the city and the region. Mainly, the kind of practices that establish relationships with the environment based on sensitivity towards the planet, the protection of life, human freedoms and respect for individual differences. This program is aimed at both artists (in a wide sense: from visual to performing arts, from music to writing) and cultural managers or agents interested in putting forward artistic projects aligned with discourses of ecological and social sustainability and, in general terms, with the knowledge and practices related to the values and objectives encouraged by Casa de Mono. Characteristics of the program Even though the program is thought of as a self-directed artist residency, Casa de Mono team will offer the residents guidance during the conceptualization, production and exhibition of the project. Given this is an urban residency program, we will coordinate activities that will allow the resident to easily adapt to the city and get to know the local artistic context. In this regard, the following activities are put forth: dérives in the city center and places of interest, visits to relevant artistic spaces, encounters with artists, different cultural agents, and, in general, people interested in the artist’s background and/or project. At the end of the residency we will schedule the socialization of the results obtained during the residency, which can take the shape of an exhibition, conference or open-studio session. In any case, the resident can propose other socialization strategies that better adapt to the nature of their project. Note: The duration of the residency doesn’t necessarily have to be dedicated to the production of an artwork to be exhibited. It can also be dedicated to planning or structuring a project. There is easy access to public transportation, marketplaces, and the most important public library in the city is just around the corner.The second floor of the house hosts the Artist Residency Program. There are six spacious and bright rooms, two of them with private bathrooms. Each room is equipped with a fan, a closet and a desk. The common spaces consist of an open kitchen and dining room, a laundry space (a patio with a washing machine and a clothes rack), and different spaces where residents can hang out or work (two balconies and a terrace). The house counts with free Internet access. Additionally, by request of the residents, it is possible to reserve a place or storage space in one of the house workshops, equipped with basic work tools. Casa de Mono’s house is also a place for taking care, admiring, inspiring on and sharing with animals. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. The result is a very personal, inviting space that skillfully mixes contrasting elements with surprising results. Wer sich bewerben kann Für die altersunabhängigen Stipendien bewerben können sich bildende Künstler:innen, a) die in Hessen geboren sind oder b) die seit 1. Hinter dem Haus schließt sich ein kleiner Garten an. Einige wichtige Galerien wie Whitechapel und Chisenhale Gallery liegen in den angrenzenden Stadtteilen Hoxton, Hackney und Bethnal Green, in denen sich in den letzten Jahren die junge Kunst- und Kulturszene etabliert hat. Das Atelierhaus wird durch Acme Studios verwaltet, die die Stipendiat:innen vor Ort betreuen und Kontakte zu Kunstinstitutionen, Künstler:innen vermitteln. New York Das kombinierte Wohn- und Arbeitsatelier befindet sich im Manhattaner Stadtteil Tribeca. In der obersten Etage eines fünfstöckigen Wohn- und Geschäftshauses steht den Stipendiat:innen der Hessischen Kulturstiftung ein 95 qm großes Apartment mit Wohn- und Arbeitsraum, Küche und Bad zur Verfügung. Paris Innerhalb des Gebäudekomplexes der Cité Internationale des Arts in der Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville befindet sich auch das Wohn- und Arbeitsatelier der Hessischen Kulturstiftung. Wohn- und Schlafzimmer, ein Arbeitsraum, Küche und Bad mit insgesamt 65 qm verteilen sich über zwei Etagen. In der Cité Internationale des Arts, die in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Centre Pompidou und dem Musée du Louvre gelegen ist, stehen den Stipendiat:innen alle Einrichtungen des großen Künstlerhauses wie Druck- und Keramikwerkstätten zur Verfügung. Istanbul Die Atelierwohnung befindet sich in der Regel inmitten des Stadtteils Beyoğlu. Von dort aus gelangt man fußläufig zum Galataturm und zu wichtigen Galerien und Museen für zeitgenössische Kunst. Es handelt sich um eine angemietete Atelierwohnung mit ca. 70-90 qm, welche von dem deutsch-türkischen Architekten- und Liegenschaftsbüro Manzara Istanbul verwaltet wird. It is a moment that promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and consequently the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Aviário Studio Art Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the Visual Arts. Artists can develop projects using a medium or a combination of technologies. Aviário Studio is an artist-run space with workshops equipped to develop projects on Printmaking, Ceramics, Wood, Metal, Sculpture, Installation, Drawing, Painting, Photography and Bookbinding. The program is customized according to the participating artist’s goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. We offer the conditions to test possibilities and materialize ideas. On one hand, it can be a moment of transition, more connected to experimentation and research; on the other hand, it can be the point of consolidation of a project translated into the production of a new body of work. Duration of residency The duration of the residencies at Aviário Studio varies from 2 weeks to 6months. Accommodation You are free to decide if you want to stay at Aviário Studio’s accommodations or search for a place on your own. Aviário Studio has a guest house in the center of Ferreira do Zêzere and 2 km away from the studio (20min walk). If you decide to stay at Aviário Studio’s accommodations, you will be living in a shared house. The house is on the ground floor, and has one living room, an equipped kitchen, one bathroom, one toilet, three bedrooms, and outside space. There is free wi-fi at the house. All residents are responsible for their own bed-making, and for maintaining a clean and quiet house environment. We advise you to rent a car, especially if you want to enjoy what the region has to offer, because public transports here are limited or non-existent.
