Residency in a private fully furnished small apartment which is unique and has character, in Dorcol historic building, built in 1921-23. (approximately 40 square meters, 4.20 m high ceilings). Living in Dorćol has its charms, it could be like living in Kreuzberg in Berlin or Manhattan in NYC. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. The result is a very personal, inviting space that skillfully mixes contrasting elements with surprising results. PETIT Studio is a right place for all those who wish to have the concentrated space and time away, to think and explore what can be achieved, and to see what can emerge when in an artistically charged space away from the day-to-day thinking of their norm. Farm Studio India International Artist Residency Deadline: 31 Oct 2026 Country: India Farm Studio International Artist Residency is located in a rural community in India. Residents stay and create in a quiet art centre and beautiful environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Farm Studio residency provides three types of working spaces where artists can explore their art and ideas in the rural Rajasthani environment; at the Farm Studio indoor studios, the outdoor desert and farm environments, and in Andore Village. Relationships form between the artists coming from different countries and varied social, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. The Sixi AiR program welcomes applications from artists of all disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Nanjing is a distinctive Chinese city that combines traditional and contemporary culture, where contemporary art is vibrant in the midst of its rich history. As one of the few local art residency programmes, the Sixi AiR Project hopes to provide artists with the opportunity to engage in dialogue with the city. We are dedicated to help the artists to engage with the local art scene, encouraging cultural research, experimentation, and exhibitions grounded in both cross-cultural and local contexts. Sixi International Artist-in-Residence Project is recruiting 4 artists for a three-month residency in Nanjing, China, scheduled for the spring and autumn of 2027. This open call features two themes. Applications may address either theme. 1. Flux and Imprints: Contemporary Echoes of Migration History This theme focuses on cross-regional mobility, cultural reconstruction, and memory. We welcome research and artistic projects that explore topics such as the family histories of overseas Chinese, the legacy of colonialism in Asia, and identity formation within global geopolitical frameworks. Artists are encouraged to examine the tension between historical archives, oral histories, personal memories, and grand narratives, redefining these historical imprints within a contemporary context. 2. Folds of Text: Cross-Media Intertextuality and Intervention This theme conceptualizes “text” as a fluid, dynamic medium extending far beyond literal signs. We invite interdisciplinary explorations that span literature, linguistics, music/sound, and the visual arts. By deconstructing, rearranging, or translating varied medium languages, artists are expected to break traditional boundaries, uncovering hidden narrative possibilities and sensory experiences within the “folds of text”. It is a moment that promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and consequently the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Aviário Studio Art Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the Visual Arts. Artists can develop projects using a medium or a combination of technologies. Aviário Studio is an artist-run space with workshops equipped to develop projects on Printmaking, Ceramics, Wood, Metal, Sculpture, Installation, Drawing, Painting, Photography and Bookbinding. The program is customized according to the participating artist’s goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. We offer the conditions to test possibilities and materialize ideas. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. An artist-run residency for creation, community and exchange – Welcome to Escola Normal! Deadline: 30 Nov 2026 Country: Portugal Set within a historic home in Porto, Portugal, it is a place where people live together, make things together and occasionally reinvent their lives over coffee in the kitchen. We welcome artists from all disciplines and at all stages of their practice: musicians, dancers, writers, photographers, filmmakers, visual artists, performers, textile practitioners and those whose work resists definition. Some arrive with a clear project in mind; others arrive with unfinished ideas, creative blocks or the desire to experiment without the pressure of immediate results. Life at Escola Normal unfolds through shared meals, late-night conversations, rehearsals, walks to concerts, spontaneous collaborations and time spent alone with one’s work. Residents have access to music, photography, visual arts and sewing studios, as well as presentation spaces and the cultural programme of the house. There are no mandatory outcomes. We do not believe every residency should end with a polished product. Sometimes the most important thing an artist takes away is a new question, an unexpected encounter or the feeling of having found time to listen to their own voice again.
