PETIT Studio Residency provides the residency at cheaper cost for those who are on a tight budget. Residency in a private fully furnished small apartment which is unique and has character, in Dorcol historic building, built in 1921-23. (approximately 40 square meters, 4.20 m high ceilings). Living in Dorćol has its charms, it could be like living in Kreuzberg in Berlin or Manhattan in NYC. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. The result is a very personal, inviting space that skillfully mixes contrasting elements with surprising results. PETIT Studio is a right place for all those who wish to have the concentrated space and time away, to think and explore what can be achieved, and to see what can emerge when in an artistically charged space away from the day-to-day thinking of their norm. Opportunity to liaise with other artists and get their feedback and input; to discuss their art practices and collect insights on different art forms that they have seen and been a part of. To gain a community of artists to further collaborate with and learn from. Open Call | 6th Residency Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá Deadline: 11 Dec 2026 Country: Colombia R.A.R.O. is an international residency program that proposes an alternative model based on a wide network of studios and cultural spaces, rather than a single workspace. Through this collaborative structure, over 28 local artists’ studios, art departments from public and private universities, and other interdependent cultural projects welcome residents and support their creative processes across the program’s various formats. Founded in Buenos Aires in 2014, R.A.R.O. has hosted more than 450 artists from all over the world. Since 2024, the program has also operated in Bogotá (Colombia), where it has received over 100 artists, curators, and researchers. Throughout its history, the program has established alliances with various institutions to promote grant programs and strengthen artistic creation, the exchange of knowledge, and co-learning through both short and long-term residencies. The R.A.R.O. proposal invites participants to work alongside artists, curators, managers, and researchers in a dynamic of itinerancy, dialogue, and collaboration, where each space in the network functions as a node for learning and experimentation. In addition to studio work, the program includes complementary activities such as visits to museums and public and private collections, artist talks, field trips, and work critiques, broadening and deepening the experience of every residency. Duration of residency We invite artists, managers, curators, and other interested parties from Colombia and all nationalities to apply for the 6th Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá, which is open until December 11th, 2026. The R.A.R.O. Bogotá program is aimed at a wide range of profiles, including artists with or without academic training, self-taught, emerging, or professional creators of any background, and researchers working in any artistic medium. Furthermore, the call extends to curators, cultural and social managers, human rights defenders, and anyone interested in developing projects linked to art and culture. This residency format consists of a period of six (6) weeks. Within this timeframe, four (4) weeks are dedicated to working in the selected studios. There, residents will be able to develop their processes, connect with other artists in the program, and meet the local artists working in each space. Subsequently, the residency will conclude with a one (1) week final exhibition. During this week, and alongside a mounting team and the edition’s curator, each resident will receive the necessary support so the group can exhibit the processes they worked on during the program. Additionally, residents will have curatorial meetings, workshops, and advisory sessions from the R.A.R.O. Team, as well as tours and visits through the city’s artistic circuit and group photographic documentation. Aviário Studio Slab Building Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the field of slab building in clay. Palimpsest Project 2026 | Mural Painting Open Call Deadline: 18 Dec 2026 Country: Argentina The Palimpsest Project is a mural painting residency conceived as a “work in progress”. Recovering the word palimpsest’s original meaning, the terrace in the ´ace studio becomes a living organism in which the artists paint their murals by dialoguing, intervening or overlapping with the previous ones. Palimpsest is a project in constant mutation, in which artists are encouraged to superimpose their murals or interlace them with the previous ones, achieving a new awakening of what was already on the wall. More than an individual work, the murals express the superposition of many hands, residences and artists. These actions are considered a way to embrace and, at the same time, demystify the work of the other. This residency program is aimed at established, mid-career or emerging visual artists, with a special interest in muralism and/or urban art. Groups of up to 2 members can apply together to work collaboratively. EXPANDED PHOTOGRAPHY RESEARCH RESIDENCY Japan | 2027–2028 Deadline: 30 Dec 2026 Country: Japan The Expanded Photography Research Residency is a hybrid international program organized by FotoCreativaBA in collaboration with IDEA R LAB (directed by Hiroko Ohtsuki in Kurashiki, Japan). The platform connects expanded photography, visual observation, material processes, local contexts, and global cultural exchange. The programming is structured into three distinct phases: Phase 1 (12-Month Online Laboratory): Shifting away from heavy weekly screen time, this phase prioritizes autonomous processes, deep reading, and monthly theoretical/creative triggers linking contemporary expanded photography with Japanese aesthetics (e.g., Wabi-Sabi, Kintsugi, the Ma interval, and the Provoke movement). Drugs, illegal substances, and unsafe conduct are strictly prohibited. 6.Artwork & Materials - Artists are responsible for their own materials, tools, and equipment unless otherwise stated. - STUDIOS 94 is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or artworks. - Artists must maintain safe working practices and avoid damaging property. 7.Exhibition & Sales - A 30% commission applies to artworks sold during official exhibitions, artist showcases, events and workshops hosted by STUDIOS 94 unless otherwise agreed in writing. - Payment to artists is processed after buyer payment has cleared. - Artists are responsible for pricing clarity and accuracy of artwork information. - Independent private sales conducted outside official programming remain the responsibility    of the artist. 8.Legal & Visa Responsibility - Artists are solely responsible for complying with Thai law, including visa status, income regulations, tax obligations, and work permissions. - STUDIOS 94 assumes no responsibility for violations of local law committed by participating    artists.   9.Media, Documentation & Promotion By participating in any program or activity at STUDIOS 94, artists grant STUDIOS 94 permission to: - Photograph and film artworks, installations, studios, exhibitions, events, and shared spaces. - Photograph and film participating artists within the premises during working hours, exhibitions, events, open studios, and public programming. - Use images and video for promotional, archival, press, educational, and marketing    purposes across websites, social media, newsletters, press releases, and printed materials. This is our first fee-based residency program, and we will use the residency fees to support the ongoing operation and future development of PARADISE AIR. Tropical Art Retreat Open Call Deadline: 31 Dec 2026 Country: Colombia Escape to Cultivarte, our mango farm and retreat center nestled in Colombia’s countryside, and join our art residency program. Embrace the tranquility of nature as you work on your art. You can also immerse yourself in Colombia’s rural culture by hiking, taking river walks, and exploring the surrounding area. Don’t forget to cool off in our natural swimming pool. Join local community projects, participate in farm activities like yoga classes, and let your creativity flow in this inspiring environment. We provide space for artists to work independently, managing their own time and creative work, while also offering them the general services, activities, and spaces of Cultivarte. These include yoga classes, the use of the swimming pool and the sunset pool, and three vegetarian daily meals from Monday to Friday. On the weekends, artists can either eat in the restaurants in the nearby town (20 minutes by public transportation), or we can connect them with local cooks who can prepare and deliver meals to the farm. In case we are hosting a retreat, some of the facilities could be used in coordination with the retreat facilitators (through the host). The retreats take place on the weekends. Open to creators from all fields, the 8-week residency sessions in 2027-2028 invite collaboration across disciplines, welcoming not only artists but also scientists, writers, poets, scholars, musicians, architects, designers, brand owners, and other creators and explorers. There in the vacuum zone naturally grows the understanding of the ultimate reality, and truth-driven actions. K&B Art Studio has created such a void, open to all artistic practices as the means to expand it, allowing the gift of presence to be seen, experienced, and appreciated. We call for artists traveling in Asia to join our inexorably explorative lifestyle at the Studio. With cross-cultural exchanges and creative explorations as the means instead of the purpose, we look forward to breaking an opening of the above-mentioned stillness in mind, as small as it is, among the local community in Hainan and resident artists abroad. The studio is located in a local village in Hainan, just by the wetland, and 15 mins away from the coastline by scooter. Artists can approach the culture and lifestyle of local, rural villages, surfing and camping communities, and the migrant creative communities of pottery-making, weaving, silver craftsmanship, painting, woodwork, etc. Duration of residency Stay for 2-8 weeks. Accommodation The studio offers a private room for the artist, sharing a big yard and two geese living in the yard. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Artists, photographers, curators, writers, and creators are welcome to apply for our residency program. There are no residency fees, and the Studio will offer free accommodation, but not food (very affordable in the village and a kitchen free to use). The resident artists are responsible to bring their creative tools or put some local materials into use. They are also encouraged to leave a little something of their creative output in residence, a poem, a sketch, a ceramic easel, or organize a workshop sharing their knowledge or the creative trip with the village kids and the migrant creative community. The studio offers two kilns for use (one big and one small), and some essential woodwork equipment.
