It can set a mood, awaken a memory, create movement, express identity, or completely transform the way we see an ordinary subject. From the softest atmospheric tones to the most electric combinations, color speaks before a single story is told. Kaleidoscope invites ShenArts members to explore the endless possibilities of color. Look to the changing light of the seasons, the unexpected palette of a familiar landscape, the colors of celebration and culture, or the hues connected to a particular place, feeling, or memory. Experiment with harmony and contrast, warmth and coolness, transparency and saturation—or allow one remarkable color to command the entire composition. Artists may work in abstraction, landscape, portraiture, still life, photography, mixed media, sculpture, or any other visual medium. Consider how color changes when placed beside another, how light alters what the eye perceives, or how a palette can communicate joy, calm, tension, nostalgia, energy, or wonder. Vibrant work is welcome, but color does not have to be loud; subtle, limited, monochromatic, and neutral palettes can be equally compelling. Like the turning fragments of a kaleidoscope, each artist brings a distinct combination of color, form, and perspective. Together, the selected works will create an immersive exhibition celebrating experimentation, individuality, and the remarkable creative range of the ShenArts community. Kaleidoscope is a members-only exhibition. Artists must be current ShenArts members to submit work for consideration. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. The result is a very personal, inviting space that skillfully mixes contrasting elements with surprising results. PETIT Studio is a right place for all those who wish to have the concentrated space and time away, to think and explore what can be achieved, and to see what can emerge when in an artistically charged space away from the day-to-day thinking of their norm. Open Call | 6th Residency Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá Deadline: 11 Dec 2026 Country: Colombia R.A.R.O. is an international residency program that proposes an alternative model based on a wide network of studios and cultural spaces, rather than a single workspace. Through this collaborative structure, over 28 local artists’ studios, art departments from public and private universities, and other interdependent cultural projects welcome residents and support their creative processes across the program’s various formats. Founded in Buenos Aires in 2014, R.A.R.O. has hosted more than 450 artists from all over the world. Since 2024, the program has also operated in Bogotá (Colombia), where it has received over 100 artists, curators, and researchers. Throughout its history, the program has established alliances with various institutions to promote grant programs and strengthen artistic creation, the exchange of knowledge, and co-learning through both short and long-term residencies. The R.A.R.O. proposal invites participants to work alongside artists, curators, managers, and researchers in a dynamic of itinerancy, dialogue, and collaboration, where each space in the network functions as a node for learning and experimentation. In addition to studio work, the program includes complementary activities such as visits to museums and public and private collections, artist talks, field trips, and work critiques, broadening and deepening the experience of every residency. Duration of residency We invite artists, managers, curators, and other interested parties from Colombia and all nationalities to apply for the 6th Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá, which is open until December 11th, 2026. The R.A.R.O. Bogotá program is aimed at a wide range of profiles, including artists with or without academic training, self-taught, emerging, or professional creators of any background, and researchers working in any artistic medium. Furthermore, the call extends to curators, cultural and social managers, human rights defenders, and anyone interested in developing projects linked to art and culture. This residency format consists of a period of six (6) weeks. Within this timeframe, four (4) weeks are dedicated to working in the selected studios. There, residents will be able to develop their processes, connect with other artists in the program, and meet the local artists working in each space. Subsequently, the residency will conclude with a one (1) week final exhibition. During this week, and alongside a mounting team and the edition’s curator, each resident will receive the necessary support so the group can exhibit the processes they worked on during the program. Aviário Studio Slab Building Residency aims to promote exploration and production in the field of slab building in clay. The program is customized according to the artist’s goals regarding duration, outcome and focus. We offer the conditions to test possibilities and materialize ideas. On one hand, it can be a moment of transition, more connected to experimentation, research and learning new techniques; or it can be the point of consolidation of a project translated into the production of a new body of work. Palimpsest Project 2026 | Mural Painting Open Call Deadline: 18 Dec 2026 Country: Argentina The Palimpsest Project is a mural painting residency conceived as a “work in progress”. Recovering the word palimpsest’s original meaning, the terrace in the ´ace studio becomes a living organism in which the artists paint their murals by dialoguing, intervening or overlapping with the previous ones. Palimpsest is a project in constant mutation, in which artists are encouraged to superimpose their murals or interlace them with the previous ones, achieving a new awakening of what was already on the wall. More than an individual work, the murals express the superposition of many hands, residences and artists. These actions are considered a way to embrace and, at the same time, demystify the work of the other. This residency program is aimed at established, mid-career or emerging visual artists, with a special interest in muralism and/or urban art. Groups of up to 2 members can apply together to work collaboratively. In addition, in these residencies, there is the possibility of working collectively collaborating with other residents or local artists. It is giving artists the opportunity to pursue their work free from distractions, outside demands and at cheaper costs. ABOUT PROGRAM BELGRADE ART STUDIO RESIDENCY is a non-profit international art program designed to bring talented artists, creative practitioners, researchers and writers from around the world to experience a unique cultural environment dedicated to art. Selected artists are invited to live and work in specially designed studio for a period up to 3 months. ABOUT PETIT Studio PETIT Studio is a BUDGET STUDIO, perfect for WRITERS, CURATORS, THINKER, ARTISTS/DESIGNERS who do small dimensions and do not require a spacious studio. PETIT Studio Residency provides the residency at cheaper cost for those who are on a tight budget. Residency in a private fully furnished small apartment which is unique and has character, in Dorcol historic building, built in 1921-23. (approximately 40 square meters, 4.20 m high ceilings). Living in Dorćol has its charms, it could be like living in Kreuzberg in Berlin or Manhattan in NYC. A sense of history, with retro pieces of furniture and original wooden floor, windows, doors and a fully functional kitchen for the self-catering of residents, bathroom, Cable TV, Wifi, washing machine. The space was renovated over the course of a whole year and decorated following an ‘‘eclectic luxury’’ approach that combines vintage design with contemporary art. The space is filled with original art and vintage objects sourced in galleries and antique shops across Serbia and Europe. The result is a very personal, inviting space that skillfully mixes contrasting elements with surprising results. PETIT Studio is a right place for all those who wish to have the concentrated space and time away, to think and explore what can be achieved, and to see what can emerge when in an artistically charged space away from the day-to-day thinking of their norm.
