Surrounded by the inspiring landscape of Sēlija, Sansusī offers a sanctuary where artists can fully dedicate themselves to research, experimentation, and meaningful exchanges of ideas. The Sansusī Wellbeing Residency is a socially engaged contemporary art residency program operating since 2018. The residency is implemented in close cooperation with local social and healthcare institutions, including the Aknīste Health and Social Care Center and the Aknīste Psychoneurological Clinic. Duration of residency 60 days (January 25 – March 25, 2027) Accommodation Free lodging at the “Susēja” residency center and access to shared workspaces. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance The residency welcomes contemporary artists working in performing arts, music, visual arts and interdisciplinary practices. Artists have access to shared workspaces at the Susēja residency centre, while specific equipment requirements should be discussed in advance. Curatorial support and a residency assistant are available throughout the stay, including interpretation, translation, practical guidance, and assistance in working with local partner institutions and target groups.Studio / Workspace Activity Hall – 70 m², equipped with basic sound equipment, a grand piano, a projector, and a printer. Expectations towards the artist We invite international artists from Creative Europe countries (other than Latvia) who: • Are interested in socially engaged art practices and working outside traditional art institutions. • Are ready to collaborate with our local community and target groups (elderly residents, healthcare clients and staff). • Are capable of leading and facilitating creative workshops, sessions, or activities tailored to the chosen target group. • Are open to working with the support of a residency assistant, who will act as an interpreter/translator to overcome language barriers and provide practical advice and guidance when needed. • See the creative process as an active dialogue and are willing to spend at least 8 hours per week interacting with their chosen target group. • Will present their creative process, ideas, or work-in-progress at the end of the residency (which can stem from their own individual project or a collaborative co-creation developed together with the target groups). Alaska AIR Bunnell Street Arts Center Artist in Residence, 2027-2028 Seasons Deadline: 15 Oct 2026 Country: United States A non-profit, multidisciplinary arts center located at Tuggeht (Dena’ina, at the shore), Bunnell Street Arts Center occupies Indigenous lands currently stewarded by Ninilchik Village Tribe. Since time immemorial, these lands have been home to the Dena’ina and Sugpiaq people living around Kachemak Bay. Bunnell is located in a historic Trading Post building in the rural community known as Homer, Alaska. Founded in 1991, Bunnell’s mission is to spark artistic inquiry, innovation, and equity to strengthen the physical, social and economic fabric of Alaska through the arts. Bunnell’s programs include artist residencies, Artist in Schools, grants to artists, visual arts exhibits and an Alaska art gallery, performances and concerts of all kinds, public art projects, and inclusive community engagement. Bunnell has been a powerful force in shaping and connecting Alaska’s cultural landscape since 1991. Bunnell Street Arts Center’s Alaska AIR residency program seeks international, US and Alaska artists looking to create new work and strengthen the social, physical and economic fabric of Homer through the arts. Residencies of generally one month are scheduled in fall, winter and spring months of 2027 and 2028. The Alaska AIR program selects artist residencies that strengthen Bunnell’s community and address pertinent themes. These may include themes such as accessibility, inclusion, sustainability, stewardship, skills sharing and exchange, connection, joy, and enhancing community well-being. Community engagement strategies might include collective art-making, performances, Artist in Schools programs, workshops for general or specific audiences (i.e. seniors, youth, etc), or other artist-driven visions. Bunnell accepts artists working in mediums including (but not limited to) visual arts, literary arts, performing arts, social and civic practice, ephemeral art, moving image, movement and dance, music composition and performance, and more. Duration of residency The duration of a residency is a minimum of two weeks, one month maximum. Accommodation Private bedroom with private bath in a shared apartment located above Bunnell Arts, or elsewhere in the Old Town neighborhood. Occasional meals/food provided, shared kitchen; restaurants and grocery stores nearby (walking distance). Bicycle available for use. Vehicles are available for occasional use. Disciplines, work equipment and assistance Bunnell accepts artists working in mediums including (but not limited to) visual arts, literary arts, performing arts, social and civic practice, moving image, movement and dance, audio art, music composition, and performance.Studio / Workspace The residency studio is Bunnell’s 1000 sq foot main exhibition gallery, filled with natural light and open to the public during regular gallery hours 11 AM to 5 PM Monday-Saturday. Artists are not required to use this space (writers, audio artists, film makers, musicians) except for workshops and presentations. Computer/internet access: Wireless Internet is provided. Studios/special equipment available: piano; sound system (mixer, monitors, mains, mics, cables); light board and theater lights; HD/3D video projector, HD video camera, darkroom (no enlarger), tripod; nipping press, small printing press; workshop furniture (tables, chairs); reception inventory (tables, chairs, bowls, cutlery, etc); office equipment. Residency scheduling and program design is done in consultation with Bunnell’s Artistic Director. Alaska AIR artists generally provide (1) an introductory artist talk or presentation, and (2) a community engagement component to strengthen the physical, social or economic fabric of the community through the arts. This may be collective art-making, an Artist in Schools program, a workshop, outreach to general or specific audiences (i.e. seniors, youth, etc), presentation of work in an installation, exhibit, performance, reading, or screening, or other artist-driven visions. The artist’s work and intentions are clearly represented and described. The project proposal is clear, specific, and demonstrates a strong community engagement component that seeks to strengthen the social, physical and economic fabric of Homer. The Alaska AIR jury is comprised of prior artists in residence, community members, and Bunnell staff and board. One to four fully-funded Alaska AIR residencies are awarded annually. Additional or partially-funded residencies may be awarded as funds and schedules permit. Hinter dem Haus schließt sich ein kleiner Garten an. Das Atelierhaus wird durch Acme Studios verwaltet, die die Stipendiat:innen vor Ort betreuen und Kontakte zu Kunstinstitutionen, Künstler:innen vermitteln. New York Das kombinierte Wohn- und Arbeitsatelier befindet sich im Manhattaner Stadtteil Tribeca. In der obersten Etage eines fünfstöckigen Wohn- und Geschäftshauses steht den Stipendiat:innen der Hessischen Kulturstiftung ein 95 qm großes Apartment mit Wohn- und Arbeitsraum, Küche und Bad zur Verfügung. Paris Innerhalb des Gebäudekomplexes der Cité Internationale des Arts in der Rue de l’Hôtel de Ville befindet sich auch das Wohn- und Arbeitsatelier der Hessischen Kulturstiftung. Wohn- und Schlafzimmer, ein Arbeitsraum, Küche und Bad mit insgesamt 65 qm verteilen sich über zwei Etagen. In der Cité Internationale des Arts, die in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Centre Pompidou und dem Musée du Louvre gelegen ist, stehen den Stipendiat:innen alle Einrichtungen des großen Künstlerhauses wie Druck- und Keramikwerkstätten zur Verfügung. Istanbul Die Atelierwohnung befindet sich in der Regel inmitten des Stadtteils Beyoğlu. Von dort aus gelangt man fußläufig zum Galataturm und zu wichtigen Galerien und Museen für zeitgenössische Kunst. Es handelt sich um eine angemietete Atelierwohnung mit ca. 70-90 qm, welche von dem deutsch-türkischen Architekten- und Liegenschaftsbüro Manzara Istanbul verwaltet wird. Dieses betreut auch die Stipendiat:innen vor Ort und vermittelt Kontakte zu Künstler:innen sowie Kunstinstitutionen. Grounded Printshop

Grounded Residency Deadline: 15 Oct 2026 Country: United States The Studio Access Residency is designed for artists who want to take full advantage of Grounded Printshop’s facilities. In addition to a private studio for one month and a featured exhibition in Liminal Space Gallery, residents receive access to Grounded’s shared equipment and studios, including printmaking, papermaking, bookbinding, Risograph and other available tools and resources. This option is ideal for artists interested in experimenting with new processes, expanding their practice, or creating work using Grounded’s equipment. The weekly cost without materials is $150 per week. Grounded accepts residency applications four times a year. Each application cycle covers a three-month residency window, giving artists the flexibility to choose the length of their stay based on their practice, schedule, and travel plans. Residencies may be as short as one week or extend for several weeks or months. The Grounded Print + Papershop Artist Residency is designed to give artists the time, space, and resources to fully immerse themselves in their creative practice. Whether you’re developing a new body of work, exploring a new medium, or simply looking for uninterrupted studio time, our residency offers a supportive environment within a thriving community of artists. Residents become part of a creative ecosystem that includes printmakers, papermakers, ceramicists, fiber artists, illustrators, painters, and others. Throughout the residency, artists are encouraged to connect with the community through open studios, demonstrations, artist talks, or workshops, through community engagement can be tailored to each artist’s interests and goals. All residency options are open to both emerging and established artists. It is on the second floor. The shared tools and main workspace is on the first floor and is handicap accessible.Fees and support The baseline studio fee is $150, consumable materials (paper, pulp, ink) are additional. Expectations towards the artist Artist talks, and/or workshops are encouraged but optional. Participation in both group and solo shows in our dedicated gallery space is encouraged.
